2016 Bounceback Offers

I'm going to WDW next week and I'm planning on booking the bounceback offer for December 2016. However we really would like to go in March of 2017. Towards the end of 2016 will I be able to change my dates to March 2017 with the bounceback offer if the dates are available under the new bounceback offer and still be able to keep the discount???
Pretty sure no. You have to be on site and call the number to book a Bounceback. I don't think your Bounceback from this year allows you to book Bouncback for next year.
But there should be discounts in March 17. Just a matter of waiting.

No, the 2016 room only bounceback offer is only for 2016 dates. You will not be able to use it to book a 2017 room.

Now if you go to Disney in Dec of 2016, then there would most likely be a 2017 room only bounceback available to you as resort guests.

No, bounceback changes must still fall within the original offer dates.

Thanks for your post about bounce back offers. I would like to take advantage of the offer when I am At WDW in November 2015 for November 2016. How do I compare a bounce back offer to Disney's vacation package or room only price? Are taxes included in both types of pricing? Is the bounce back based on a "rack rate" and discounted from that number? Any help on how to compare would appreciated. Thanks
November was not included in the offer that i saw

I'd love to hear from someone who is there now or just recently came home. I want to know if FD is being offered on a bounceback for this timeframe in 2016 at any of the values.

The offer right now is a room discount for select dates throughout 2016. The only time free dining is offered is for late summer of the following year, and the 2015 FD offer for 2016 dates ended for booking on Oct 31, 2015.

No, smitch, what I'm saying is that this is the date I want to go next year and am hoping for free dining. If someone 2ho is there right now is being offeredto book a bounceback for this date next year, my chances increase that it will be offered to the general public. If that makes sense.

I knew exactly what you were asking. The only free dining bounceback is one that covers dates in mid/late August through late Sept/early October of the following year. That offer expired on Oct 31, 2015. From Oct 2015- July/early Aug 2016, the bounceback offer is a room discount. Sometime in August 2016 or so,the bounceback will switch to a free dining offer for late summer 2017. You will have to wait for a UOC or a public offer for Dec 2016.

I've been considering adding a day onto the front of our booked FD bounceback. It's within the timeframe and rules etc. What I'm wondering though, is will this in any way risk the FD bounceback I have booked. I do not want to try to add a day and then end up losing the FD BB I already have booked. Like, the CM tries adding and something happens, or they cancel my current to book a new and cannot do it type of thing. I do not want to risk my FD trip.

Am I being paranoid or is there risk in adding a day to a booked BB? Or with the new rules of booked vacations (like the problems dropping a day we've seen this past year), can I EVEN add a day? Thanks!

It should not be a problem. Just call them. You will likely be transferred to guest services.

My sister had wanted to add a day to her free dining bounce back at POR. She had originally booked a standard room but when she called they told her that she could only add a day to her original reservation if she upgraded to a royal room or river view. So she told them not to change her original BB reservation. Instead she added a room only reservation for the extra day. They are arriving around dinner time, so it works fine. The switch to a royal room in order to add extra day of free dining would have cost too much to make it worth it.

Do they ever add more dates to the room only bounce back? We have one booked for December 2016 but are thinking it may be too close to Christmas for us. I was wondering if they might add in some November dates later?

Nope...they never add dates.

Okay thanks for the reply! I will keep what we have and keep my eye out for fall discounts. I know POR is usually excluded from the fall free dining promotion, is it excluded from the fall room only discount also?

Not necessarily. We stayed at POR in Dec 2013 with free dining. It all depends on availability. I have a feeling that CB will be hard to get due to the pirate rooms or also able to fit 5. POR also being able to fit 5 is a nice alternative and might not be available.

We are going on our second trip to WDW in the spring. We know we want it to be an annual vacation, so I will be interested in whatever (if any) bounce back offer is available at that time. However, we book through a travel agent. She is awesome and I would hate to cut her out. Is there any way to book a bounce back offer using an agent?

The bounceback offer when you are there in the spring will be a room discount for just the remainder of 2016. You can transfer the reservation to your agent after you book.

I didn't realize it is possible to transfer a reservation to an agent. That is great news-thank you!

Thank you both! Finally worked up the nerve to try it and called the BounceBack number. The CM was super friendly and had no trouble checking for me. They didn't transfer me, she took care of it. I did get to add a day onto the end of our trip!!! So excited! :woohoo:I did not have to change anything, I still have a standard room at Pop. And now we have a few lounge days for resort hopping and a rest day after the Halloween party night. pixiedust:
