How did it go today? When will you know if you'll get your bonus?

Well, I took 40 deviled eggs, and I came home with 6, only because I wanted to bring those home for Jenna and me tonight. The bank president came out of the meeting this afternoon singing, "Here Comes Santa Claus," which is his code that our bonuses were approved! The amount will likely be 10% of our annual salaries--I've worked there for over 16 years, and that's what we've gotten every year except for the year that the bank had to eat a horrible investment. We'll get our money in early December, sometime after the first--so about 2 weeks. And before you get all excited about that 10%, I definitely don't have a high salary, so it's not a huge amount for me. It is enough, though, for Christmas and to pay for a big chunk of our vacation for next year!

We're putting up ours this weekend. I thought she'd leave the tree alone the old she got, but now she's into it more!LOL!

Did you two put up your tree this past weekend?

We made the ugliest, but very tasty, Christmas cookies and decorated the tree this past weekend. Most of the decorations are at the top and in the middle, because DS would not stop pulling the ornaments and garland off. I want to decorate the bottom, take some good pics of DS/us in front of the tree, then take the decorations back off the bottom. Lol Or maybe I should leave it as is, to show what our tree looked like when DS was a year old. Lol

Here are some pics of the top/middle of our tree. Lol. I made the snowflake garland. I love how it looks on the tree!!!

What a beautiful Christmas tree! I've been debating on what to do for our tree this year, since we have some very bad kittens. I finally decided on a pop-up tree, so I ordered it from Amazon--it should be here on Friday. The decorations are all sewn on, so they can't take anything off. They might knock it over, so I've gotten some stuff to put in the area to deter them--smells that they don't like. If they do knock it down, at least all we'l have to do is stand it back up!

Thank you! Oh, that pop up tree sounds perfect for your situation. :)

Christmas tree 2015.jpg

Our tree arrived from Amazon today, and I think it looks pretty darn fine for a tree that took about 3 minutes to put up! The cats are all under it right now since it's hollow inside, but all they're able to do is spin the thing around. We do need to do a little fluffing on the ribbons and flowers, but it was really easy to set up. I'm loving this thing!

The cats have knocked it over a couple of times, but we just stand it back up--no re-decorating, and I love that! 4 of my cats are really naughty because they're still kittens. I'm getting them all fixed soon before we get taken over by cats!

That's a nice tree for it to be a pop up!!

Wow you made that?! That's an awesome job! We put it up last Saturday. She was determined to put it. I figured we might as well since we spend a lot of time at Grandma's after Thanksgiving and will get back tomorrow evening. She mostly put it up and then broke the head on her Tiana ornament and I had to hot glue it! We'll do the outside decorations next weekend.

Thank you! Yes, I can't assemble toys, but I can crochet. LOL

I'm glad you were able to glue her tiana ornament back together. :)

I'm working on our outside decorations today. I finished wrapping the front door, hanging the wreath and putting the Christmas doormat outside this morning before church. I still need to hang this adjustable garland hanger (gah, I hope it's easy to put up!) and decorate our balcony.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas around here! I love it!

It's December 1st and the tree and decorations are still in the shed. oops. Will get onto it shortly.
Everyone's tree pictures look great.

I ventured up to the shed to bring the Christmas things down to the house and a King Brown snake came in to see what I was doing. thankfully it slithered off when I stamped my feet. A big one as well.

After all that, I managed to put the tree up and the kids decorated it when they came home from school. I had also forgotten that we had bought the Disney Orchestra/music band last year and now the kids are saying 'we need to go back to the USA soon' lol.

This evening I was reading the latest update on this thread: http://www.disboards.com/threads/4-park-challenge.3455758/

It got me to thinking that maybe my daughter and I could do our own little 4-park challenge, so I managed to drag her out of her bedroom long enough to discuss the idea with her. She did not like the idea of doing the 4 Disney parks in one day, but she was open to maybe doing 2 in one day. We've never park-hopped (shocking, I know!), so after discussing it, we agreed that we both would want to do Epcot and Hollywood Studios in the same day. They're our most favorite parks, plus they're pretty close together. I think it took me all of about 5 minutes to write out our touring plan for the day, and it looks pretty good!

So, while the majority of our vacation next May will be spent doing other things in Orlando, we'll have our one day to do some of our most favorite things at Disney World. Oh, and on Friday I managed to save over $80 on our Discovery Cove admissions for May 23rd. I also got a $25 gift card for Steak & Shake off of Amazon a couple of days ago for only $20, and that's perfect for us since we'll be eating there during our vacation. As our trip gets closer, I'll be able to get some deals from groupon--these expire, so I need to wait until around March before purchasing them. I do love saving money on things for vacation--more money for souvenirs!

I suppose my attempt at 4 parks in one day will have to wait until my daughter is in college and I make a solo trip!
