Hi Lisa! Our daughter Alexis just turned 7 years old so we are celebrating her birthday on this cruise too (along with my husband and my 15th anniversary!!!). I know how it is to be a late-comer (I was added late to the FE list), and I'll make sure Sofia gets something from us too. If you want to do a mini-exchange, we are Karina, Keith and Alexis in Cabin 2578. Let me know if you are interested.

Hi Tgiff! Welcome! Like I mentioned to Lisa, I know how it is to be a late-comer (I was added late to the FE list), and I'll make sure your 2 kids get something from us too. What are your children's gender (for gifting purposes)? If you want to do a mini-exchange with us too, we are Karina, Keith and Alexis in Cabin 2578. My husband and I are celebrating our 15th Anniversary, and we are also celebrating our daughter Alexis's 7th birthday on this cruise. Lots to celebrate.

I hoping some of you all can help. We signed up a number of months ago and are not quite sure how this works. Do we need to buy gifts for each person everyday or just one for the whole trip? One per room one for the whole room or one for the whole room ? How does this work? We want to be sure and be prepared. Thanks so much! We are really looking forward to our first fish extender fun!

It is at your discretion. There are no fixed rules here. Some people opt to give a gift to entire cabin, and other people give gifts to each person in the cabin. You can also do a gift every day or just one for the entire trip. It is really up to you and your budget.

Have fun on your first fish extender exchange! This is our 2nd one and we're hooked!

It is so much fun to wake up to a gift every day (that is, if people stagger their gift-giving over days....but if everyone does the same day, it will be a larger surprise the next morning! LOL!)

You can give a cabin gift, a cabin gift and then something for each child, a gift for each person in the cabin. We delivered twice on our first time around and decided to just give everything all at one time on our next time. We break the giving up to aft, mid-ship, and forward. You will find out what works best for you after the first time. It also depends on how much you want to spend and the time you want to give delivering. Happy sailing and enjoy!

We are doing floor by floor (and I've further divided those into port side and starboard side). I've mapped out where all of the cabins are located and hopefully, that will speed up the delivery process. Just finished bagging and tagging everything today! Now....I just hope they can all fit in our luggage....LOL!

So how do we do this? Just hang some kind of bag on our front door to hold gifts? Does it attach to the door knob or somewhere else?

Someone mapped it out from one of the FE groups that I belong to and I just circled the cabins from this group. If you are still interested, let me know. There is a "fish extender" (hook) on the front of your cabin. People just hang organizers or pockets from that fish extender for the gifts. If you do a search on the internet for "Fish Extender Pockets", you will see some examples. Here is the last list I received before it was closed (see attachment). But after it was closed, 2 families have asked to be on the "Pixie Dust" list -- Lisa Carrillo/ Rai/ Sofia celebrating her 8th birthday in Cabin 6511 and Tgriff/ his spouse/ 2 children (girl age 4 and boy age 6) in Cabin 7130. You have the option to give to them as well.

** But DON'T FORGET OUR ORGANIZER, JENN. She ended up not going on this cruise but she still created the list for all of us and handled all of the additions (and she said that she made us FE gifts and her friends William/ Vanessa will be handing them out!!!). If you want to give JENN and her family something, make sure to deliver those gifts to her friends (who are also on the FE list) "William/ Vanessa in Cabin 6069". Jenn's children are:
Sydney- 15yr she loves Tiana from Princess and the Frog
Kailey- 12yr she loves Minnie Mouse
Tino- 9yr he loves Phineas and Ferb
Lizzie- 4yr she loves Sophia the First
