With all the changes and closings going on at Universal, I haven't heard anything about T2:3D -- Battle Across Time? What will be the fate of this attraction in the future?

I don't think it's going away real quickly. It just got an updated preshow video. There are also rumors of it getting a 4k digital projection upgrade like most of the other rides/attractions have been getting.
That being said, that probably only bought it a few more years. Beetlejuice got a whole new "updated" show then got the axe 2 years later. Like Damo said, there are a lot of things in the fire. Disaster cand Beetlejuice closing for Fast and Furious, Twister Closing for Jimmy Fallon, Kong, and Volcano Bay that have been announced. In the rumor mill, we have Secret Life of Pets in IOA replacing the theater on the edge of Toon Lagoon by Marvel, most of Kids Zone at USF being closed for Nintendo.

Wait, Nintendo land??? WHAT???! Best day ever.
Kong looks like it is going to be amazing.
I am still amazed by every inch of the Harry Potter areas.
Volcano Bay - Is this opening in the next few years?

PS - Went on T2 this Oct 2016. Probably my third viewing in around 18 years (been 3 times in that time...from the UK....but will be visiting at least once every two years now as I missed it SO much).
I still think it's cool. Retro, quite impressive, and cool. No, it's not up to the modern standards but it is great. Please keep it for now!
