What happens during "sea day"?

My question might sound a bit weird but... We did a 3 night cruise in April. On the third night, we left CC and woke up in PC.

Now, we are going on a 4 nights cruise. Same itinerary except for 1 sea day at the end of the trip. Is is exactly the same trip (CC to PC) but at a slower pace?

Thanks in advance.

Pretty much. The ship will take a little less direct route from CC to PC. At a little slower speed.

You'll be able to see Miami off in the distance (port side) at some point during the sea day, and at night you'll be able to see the lights of the Florida east coast as you cruise north. It was actually pretty cool to see that on our double dip. It made me very happy we had a port side room.

it depends on the weather, but the ship may just steam in a slow circle to kill time

{Miami would be a bit south of a track from CC to PC ..... but you might see Florida coast lights from West Palm, Boca etc}

Same departure from CC and arrival at PC. Every time we've done it the ship has taken a different route, depending on the weather and the calmest seas (we were told by the Captain's announcement). One day we steamed around in circles off of Freeport. That was pretty cool when we finally realized that yep, Grand Bahama had been off our starboard side was now port!

Sea days for us...

Wake up whenever
Grab breakfast at some point
Relax somewhere
Find lunch at some point
Hot tub
Wine tasting
Nap
Relax some more
Dinner
After dinner drinks

That makes for a pretty full day without much time left over.

They always save some tables to book on the ship.
When you embark, check the Navigator to check time and place for booking Palo.

Sea days are my favorite as well. Not in this order but I usually enjoy a Palo brunch, watch a movie in the theatre, get a few character pictures, strolling around the ship, grab a nap, and do a little shopping. In the evening I do the regular stuff like enjoy the evening show in the Walt Disney Theatre, dinner (I usually book second seating), and either check out what entertainment is going on in the bars/clubs.

We enjoy Senses on sea days; also Art of the Dream tour, and sometimes there are special guests that will have a time in one of the theaters where they relate experiences combined with some type of performance. Artists who have appeared in Disney productions on Broadway are common guest performers.
