DME documents - new rules?

I have used DME numerous times. The last few times, I have used the magic band to check in for the bus ride from the airport to WDW. I just received DME documents for our trip in December. The document states I have to keep this paper copy to utilize for check in and confirm my return air travel (I understand confirming the return flight).

Has this changed since my last trip? I just remember making sure I kept a magic band in my carry in the past.

I'd imagine they tell you to keep the paper copy handy just in case something goes wonky with the Magic Bands. I've used my band with no trouble the past few times I've taken ME, but I remember once early on, something didn't work right and they asked for the paper tickets.

My letter said the same thing but I used the MB's 2 weeks ago. I think they probably want us to have the letter as a backup incase there is an issue.

I think they need the letter for the return trip, but they should deliver a copy to your room the day before.

We used our magic bands last week too for our trip to the resort! Just keep the paper just in case. But, our driver dropping us off gave everyone an earful about having that paper they deliver to your room the day before you leave for your return DME trip. They need that paper to bring you back to the airport!

We have used only MB since they came out.
But, one trip earlier this year we had a strange issue.
We scanned in at the first check point, it showed correct resort. CM sent us down the queue for the correct Resort.
Scanned in at the 2nd check point and it came up with the incorrect resort. Luckily I had brought the form with the correct resort/bar code and the 2nd CM allowed us on the bus for the correct resort with that.
If I hadn't had it I'm not sure what hoops I'd have had to jump through to get it straight.
So now I always have that form in my bag but start out using just the MB

When I arrived on Nov 8 my MB didn't work at the DME check in, the letter didn't work either, even after rebooting their system. My MB did finally work as I got on the bus. Disney's computers were wonky all that week. Sometimes the servers had to take our MB's serial number in order to access our dining plan. Never saw that before.

just bring the paper too in case you forget and put your MB's in your checked bags
