Hey there,
I'm just wondering how people went in selecting music when they were having music at the Wedding Pavilion. Then the Cake and Celebration at the other GF location. What sounded good? What they loved best. What suited the space well? Will I be given a recommended list of tracks?
[I'm still in the waiting period between consultant and coordinator]
Included is the Organ and Violinist at the Ceremony
The Violinist at the Cake and Celebration.
Now please bear in mind that I spent 16 years of my life playing the violin and longer playing the piano. I've been in sting quartets entertaining diners. So for me...I clearly do enjoy violin music and have SOME idea what they are capable of. I also love the sound of an organ.
I also listened to the featured podcast interview with one of Disney's Violinists. So I have no doubts on what they can provide.
I guess my point? I want to make the most of the violin and not lose it by poor selections? I certainly know I played piano longer as I can play Disney more easily on piano...
Are there any restrictions people have found or what works well?
Do they play some things with CD and violin to balance the sound better?
Is it a combo or all the performer?
I do want an all Disney affair really and Disney music as that's how my fiancé and I met...but some of the tracks I want are from Jim Brickman's Disney Songbook "Beautiful" and "I'm Amazed" which may or may not translate well to violin. They should just not always as one imagines.
For things not for the violin...
Are they ever willing to play a track from background park music? From a CD. Disney would have them but they aren't all on official public release. So I just don't know if I can ask for it?
