It's My Birthday & I'll Disney if I Wanna! ~ A Dec 2015 PTR - COMPLETE!

Woah!! Your digits are even MORE singular as i read this, the day after thanksgiving.

I have to be totally honest regarding your "Disney slump". I actually sometimes get to the park and will get in slump. Don't get me wrong... I am literally bursting with excitement when we arrive, getting on rides, eating my favorite Disney foods. But occassionally I'm sort of like, "i wish i was home planning this"! Its so weird!!! The reality is its sometimes busy, rainy, cold, exhausting... Not stuff you can build into your plan. Obviously, I still love it!!

Hope you had a great Turkey day! I had my worst holiday/vacation nightmare and had food poisoning two days before! I felt ok the day after, but when i gorged myself yesterday I did NOT feel fine. Early bedtime for me, with quite a bit of rolling and moaning and not sleeping. Hope I can avoid that on our trip, it really ruins the day. Its hard for me to turn down a taste of anything, so i get in trouble sometimes!

Were almost sub-20 days. Cannot wait!

Single digits!!!

:jumping1::jumping2::cheer2::jumping3:

Get out of this funk and get ready to Disney!!!!!

Yahoo

And happy thanksgiving!
I'm trying to get out of the funk! I cleaned a little last night and this afternoon! I'm going to clean more tonight and finish up tomorrow afternoon, then tomorrow night start packing! I promise! ::yes::

Whoo hoo! And Happy Thanksgiving to you too!
I hope you had a good Turkey Day, Lynn! Gobble gobble! :goodvibes

Daaaaaaaance, woooooo!

Yay!!! *does happy dance for you* You are in single digits and I'm in double digits! Woohoo!
I am sooo awed at your Disney binder...it's so organized. I am lucky if I even print anything out. Everything is on my phone nowadays. LOL. But I vow to be more organized on this trip!
That's the next step, actually... Screen shot everything I printed for the binder, and save them all to my phone (idea courtesy of @STLMickeyMom ), so that way I have back-ups of my back-ups!

Happy Thanksgiving and happy early birthday!
Thank you very much on both counts! :cutie:

YAY!!! SINGLE DIGITS!!

Sorry, I don't dance before coffee or breakfast, so I'll have to let these guys dance for me...:jumping1::banana:party::banana:

Also, Happy Thanksgiving! Enjoy your food coma!
That's actually some mighty fine pre-coffee dancing, my friend! :thumbsup2

That was pretty smart of you to plan your trip so that you could use the long Thanksgiving holiday for packing and cleaning. Maybe I'll do the same thing next year. :)
I just wish I could take credit for that. I actually just lucked out... This is the first year ever that the higher-ups chose to close us for the entire holiday weekend. Typically with get the Thursday of Thanksgiving Day off, and that's it. So when we found out we were getting the whole 4-day weekend off this year, it was a very big and exciting surprise! :goodvibes

Woohooo!!! You'll be there before you know it - how exciting!!

I have the same countdown number as you, but it's for my sister's visit - she arrives next Thursday evening. I haven't seen her since January!
Yay, we both have good things to count down to, then! How awesome!

Woo hoo! party: It's single digit dance day!!!!!!!:hyper: :hyper::hyper:

And have a fantastic Thanksgiving fellow Merican'!

Woo hoo!!

Happy Single Digit Dance Day! :dogdance::cheer2:party::woohoo::cool1:

We're at 19 today, which seems totally crazy. Also it's insane to me that tomorrow is Thanksgiving. Where has the year gone?

Have a very happy Thanksgiving as well - I hope it's full of family, fun, and delicious food!

th

(I love this so much)
19 is so close! I guess what, 17 or 18 now? SUPER exciting!!! And I love the Disney thanksgiving picture!!! :lovestruc

Hahaha, thank you! :goodvibes

Happy American Thanksgiving Billie!! (because you now, actual Thanksgiving was in October lol) But enjoy it anyway :) And single digits!!! YAYYYY!!
Pffft. fakey Canadian rip-off Thanksgiving totally doesn't count! (You guys are always trying to copy our holidays, dangit! :rotfl: )

Woah!! Your digits are even MORE singular as i read this, the day after thanksgiving.

OMG, yes!!! I know exactly what you mean, too!!!

Hope you had a great Turkey day! I had my worst holiday/vacation nightmare and had food poisoning two days before! I felt ok the day after, but when i gorged myself yesterday I did NOT feel fine. I hope you get to feeling better! Disney is right around the corner for you, so get WELL!!

7 days until WDW! :hyper:
************************************

Hey, ya'll! :grouphug:

ONE WEEK FROM THIS MOMENT, I'LL AT THE MAGIC KINGDOM, KICKING OFF MICKEY'S VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS PARTY!!! :hyper: :santa: :hyper:

Okay, soooooo do ya'll rememeber the crisis I had a couple months back, about our 7:30pm BoG dinner and potentially missing MSEP? And how, by the grace of Mickey, I was able to score another BoG ressie about an hour and a half earlier (5:55pm), but it would mean missing the FoF parade? And how I decided to sit on both reservations until Disney did their final December park hours update, to see if I could make it all work out?

Well. They did. And I did! :D

At least I think I did... The park hours for Dec. 9th were revised last week, and I got my hands on them yesterday. Not only did they add a late run of MSEP at 11pm, they extended park closing an additional hour...

Dec9-2.png

So, in theory, that means we can see the FoF parade at 3pm, go back to the resort for our break, be back at MK in time for our 7:30pm dinner, then to our FP+ viewing area for Wishes by 9:35pm, stick around for MSEP at 11pm, then go ride the 3-4 things we have left to ride and any shopping we want to do before EMH ends at 1am.

Do ya'll see any flaws in this plan? I've only had a day or so to think through it, so I hope I'm not missing any glaring oversights! HALP?! :scared:

This also means that on Wednesday, Dec. 9th, I have a 5:55pm dinner ADR at Be Our Guest (party of 3) up for grabs. I know some of you are traveling around the same time, so I figured I would offer it up here first. If I don't get a PM in the next 24 hours or so, I'll post it over on the December 2015 Cancelled ADRs thread (where I know it will get scooped up fast). :goodvibes

And in other news, for any of you playing along at home, YES, I finally got off my lazy butt and did about half of the cleaning I need to do. I'll finish up tonight, and then my mom is coming by tomorrow to shampoo my carpets for me with her fancy schmancy new carpet cleaner she just bought. After that, the apartment will be spotless, and I can focus on a singular task... PACKING FOR DISNEY!!! :hyper:

It looks like a great plan. You have plenty of time for dinner at BOg and plenty of time to get to the Wishes fp area.

Looks like the timing worked out perfect for you all. Only potential issue I see is your aunt and uncle not being to hang so late at night, but we all know you'll have no issue just partying it up on your own ; )

Now Billie stop reading this and get back to cleaning and packing!!!!!!!!! Times flying girl

That plan looks great! So glad that everything worked out for you :) And now I'm going to go check the hours for my own trip to see if they are changing at all :P

I'm glad you were able to build in a good break too - that's a long day, but the later MSEP is awesome!! I think with the break, hopefully you'll all be able to enjoy everything. And if part of your group gets tired, it's always ok to split up :)

Plans look great! So glad everything worked out perfectly!

Yea for cleaning and packing!!! It's almost time girl!! :moped:

I've been reading along but I don't think I have stopped in and said hi. So exciting that your trip is so close! I'm going to be there the 1st-3rd, so we will just be missing you! Can't wait to read the trip/dining report to follow!

ONE WEEK FROM THIS MOMENT, I'LL AT THE MAGIC KINGDOM, KICKING OFF MICKEY'S VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS PARTY!!! :hyper: :santa: :hyper:

Yay! 6 days now until Magic Mickey Christmas Craziness!

At least I think I did... The park hours for Dec. 9th were revised last week, and I got my hands on them yesterday. Not only did they add a late run of MSEP at 11pm, they extended park closing an additional hour...

I saw this, and I was wondering if you were still holding on to the later BOG! I would have posted something here to be helpful and whatnot, but ... I got distracted by something shiny.

Do ya'll see any flaws in this plan? I've only had a day or so to think through it, so I hope I'm not missing any glaring oversights! HALP?! :scared:

Looks good to me. I think that 2 hours should be enough time to get from BOG to Wishes FP+.

And in other news, for any of you playing along at home, YES, I finally got off my lazy butt and did about half of the cleaning I need to do. Yay! I'm super impressed ... cleaning is no fun. And yay for packing - that really means the trip's almost here!!

I think what you have sounds like it should work fine.

And in other news, for any of you playing along at home, YES, I finally got off my lazy butt and did about half of the cleaning I need to do. That's great! Love mom coming over to clean hehehe. Mine does too. Hahaha. Can't wait until you go on your trip and then write your trip report. I'm living vicariously through you now!

It looks like a great plan. You have plenty of time for dinner at BOg and plenty of time to get to the Wishes fp area.
Yes, 2 hours should be PLENTY! ::yes::

Looks like the timing worked out perfect for you all. Only potential issue I see is your aunt and uncle not being to hang so late at night, but we all know you'll have no issue just partying it up on your own ; )
They say they'll be able to hang, but we'll see! If not, then WOO SOLO TIME! :woohoo:

Now Billie stop reading this and get back to cleaning and packing!!!!!!!!! Times flying girl
I did, I did! I promise! Update incoming! :D

Good idea! :thumbsup2

I think the mid-day breaks are LIFESAVERS. I hope they can hang late with me, I would have to them to miss out on Tomorrowland! :P

I'm so pleased it all worked out, Disney was obviously on your side :)
They certainly were! I hope it all works out in reality as well as it does on paper! ::yes::

Plans look great! So glad everything worked out perfectly!
Me too! :woohoo:

Yea for cleaning and packing!!! It's almost time girl!! :moped:
I knowwwww, omg omg omg! :hyper:

Oh, hi there! :welcome: Hey, you'll be the THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW! How exciting is that!!! And yes, there will definitely be a trip report when I get home, for sure!

Yay! 6 days now until Magic Mickey Christmas Craziness!
5 days now, omg omg omg! :hyper:

I saw this, and I was wondering if you were still holding on to the later BOG! I would have posted something here to be helpful and whatnot, but ... I got distracted by something shiny.
Totally understandable. ::yes::

Looks good to me. I think that 2 hours should be enough time to get from BOG to Wishes FP+.
I think so, too! :thumbsup2

Yay! I'm super impressed ... cleaning is no fun. And yay for packing - that really means the trip's almost here!!
It is almost here, can you believe it?! Cleaning is mostly done, except for the few things I'll do the night before we leave. Packing is done except for last-minute items now, too! :cutie:

That's soooooooooo exciting!!!
It so isssssss! :hyper:

Seems like it's a good plan.

I think what you have sounds like it should work fine.
I sure hope you're right! :goodvibes

That's great! Love mom coming over to clean hehehe. Mine does too. Hahaha. Can't wait until you go on your trip and then write your trip report. I'm living vicariously through you now!
I'm NOT looking forward to writing the TR because that means Disney will be over and I'll be HOME! But at least then I can start planning October's trip more! :cutie:

5 days until WDW! :hyper:
************************************

Hey, ya'll! :grouphug:

Just a quick little run-by update... Cleaning is DONE! More less. There's a few little things I'm going to do the night before we leave, but the big stuff is done. My mama came by yesterday with her new gadget, this super nice Bissell Deep Carpet Cleaner shampooing thingy. And maaaaan, lemme tell ya'll, that thing WORKS:

20151128_171741-1.jpg

It's so beautiful. :lovestruc

And so, as promised, once that was done, tonight the Disney packing officially COMMENCED! (Butters and Harley "helped," of course.)

It's pretty much all done. The only things left are the last-minute things that will get packed either the night before we leave, or that morning. And I was able to do it all in one large suitcase, a tote bag, and my park touring bag, with room to spare:

20151129_063730-1.jpg

I honestly probably could have gotten away without even bringing the small tote bag, because there's still lots of pocket space left in the suitcase. However, the main function of the tote is to be a vehicle for the two 4-packs of bottled Starbucks frappacino that accompanies me on every Disney trip. There's no way I could leave those behind (@SarahDisney , back me up here), and I don't trust those in my main suitcase.

So yay! Now that's done! :hyper: I'm thinking/hoping that this next week will go by quickly. Today is the 4th and final day of a glorious long holiday weekend, and tonight I'll go over to my folks house for dinner and "Once Upon A Time." (We like to watch it together.) Mon-Wed at work are full days, but I know at least 1 of those days we will be doing my birthday in the office. And either Tues or Weds night, we'll be going out for our monthly office Sushi & Sake night, which is always fun and delicious!

Thursday is my actual birthday, which should be a relatively busy day... Work for a few hours in the morning, then lunch and nails with Mama, then off to get my hair cut, then probably stopping by my Grandmother's to hug her and to say hi to Mark & Debby who will be in town by then, then off to the bank to deposit any birthday/trip monies acquired that day, then to Walmart for any last minute odds & ends, and then finally home to do final cleaning and packing. And then Friday morning at 7am... OFF TO DISNEY WORLD!!! :woohoo: So exciiiiited!

Great packing job. Your initial packing list was a little overwhelming but I see that it is indeed not a truckload in actual fact. Five more days for you. :woohoo:

That looks good! I gotta get me one of those! It's probably way easier than that stupid Rug Doctor machine we rent once a year.

And so, as promised, once that was done, tonight the Disney packing officially COMMENCED! (Butters and Harley "helped," of course.)

Yay! So nice of Butters and Harley to help. I'm sure their help sped up the packing process!! (Or slowed it down significantly, because cats are above such things as time).

However, the main function of the tote is to be a vehicle for the two 4-packs of bottled Starbucks frappacino that accompanies me on every Disney trip. There's no way I could leave those behind (@SarahDisney , back me up here), and I don't trust those in my main suitcase.

Definitely essentials. I'm still trying to figure out if I want to try to bubble wrap a few and stuff them in my suitcase (I'm trying to figure out if I want to do that to a bottle of wine too). Assuming I have room in my suitcase, which I don't think I will. This stupid 3oz liquid rule (plus airport prices) really makes flying no fun.
They definitely need to be in the tote bag, though ... you don't want to worry about them breaking or opening or anything in the big suitcase!

And then Friday morning at 7am... OFF TO DISNEY WORLD!!!

Yay!!

Those Bissell cleaners rock! I got one this summer. Aren't you glad the kitties supervised your packing, lol. They were just making sure you didn't forget anything.

Just a few more sleeps and you're off!

We have one of those carpet cleaners in the basement but I have been too lazy to use it.

Our cat always laid in the suitcase, too. He would get very upset when we brought the suitcases out, so I would gather everything together but not put it in the suitcase until the morning we left.

Do you take the Starbucks in your carry on?

Congrats on getting your cleaning and packing done! Wow, you will be there before you know it!! :hyper:

And now I'm off to do an online search for that carpet cleaner! :thumbsup2
