HydroFlask has changed it's policy for the worse

I'd have thought that continuing a conversation, even if it's a year old, would be better than starting a new thread?

I was just letting them know -I've responded to threads thinking the topic was "active" to realize that it was a years old discussion. Kind of like talking to myself ...not that uncommon I suppose

If an active thread I'm guessing there was enough interest in this topic to have it potentially be continued and due to the topics discussed at the start and throughout this particular thread which I recalled reading about I thought it was a suitable place to update it with this post.
Agree with you GAN about the karma thing :-)

All I can say is that this is not the company I became involved with.

That company was happy to have our business, happy to work with us and happy to donate a part of their profits to charity.

Sadly, that company has been sold to a larger corporation whose motives and goals seem very very different from the original.

I have not used their name as I don't want to add even the slightest to their publicity.

After reading the above and doing a bit of research, I am sorry say thatI believe the company that I admired has disappeared.

Your opinion may vary...and you are absolutely welcome to your opinion. I've stated mine.

I wholeheartedly agree. And they will milk every nickel out of the Company we all knew, at the expense of customers like you and I ....and sadly, the employees that dedicated themselves to an excellent product and service.

Out of curiousity, has anyone tried some other options? I just ordered a Laken bottle and I'm hoping this will fit the bill.

I also have a Kleen Kanteen (27 oz) and like it but find it heavy to carry while hiking/trekking. I prefer my Nalgene Every Day wide mouth because it is lighter, pretty much bounces if dropped and I don't end up clanking my teeth against steel. I use a silicon sipper insert so I don't get those lovely water splashes down the front of my chest. The Nalgene is BPA-free. Is it still out of lingering concerns with plastic that others aren't that keen on it or is it because it doesn't keep cold water cold like steel does in more Southern climates?

I prefer the insulated stainless because it keeps water cold -I'm in the Northeast but like keeping it in the car when at the beach or work.
