After reading several great reviews, Im taking the Family to the breakfast buffet at Boma.
We have never been to the AKL so Im looking for some insider tips on what to do/ see at the resort after we finish breakfast. The kids love animals so Im hoping to get them a good viewing.

The animal viewing area is out behind the main lobby. There are usually CMs out there as well who can answer questions.

I check-in for my first stay just 2 weeks from today!! However, I've been to AKL numerous times over the years for dining and walking around. It's such a beautiful place, just walk around and take it all in and as pp mentioned, CMs are there to answer any questions and they are very nice indeed.

We always walk through the beautiful Lobby/Greatroom. It is awesome. The gift shop is also a little more unique than some other resorts. The animal viewing area is great, as are the paths around the lovely pool.

There are little balconies with rocking chairs on either side of the lobby that overlook the animal viewing areas. We always relax there after breakfast. It's usually empty, and it's a great place to finish your coffee (always get the press pot!) and digest a bit before continuing on with your day.
The artwork in the lobby is pretty cool too.

Have a great breakfast. We have been to Boma several times for breakfast, want to try dinner but Sanaa keeps calling my name...

For maximum animal viewing would you recommend breakfast at BOMA or dinner at Sanaa? We are not staying at this resort but is it still ok to walk around and wander to view the animals? Thank you.

I know you can't see any animals from Boma, I'm not sure about Sanaa. It is perfectly fine to visit the viewing areas

Anyone is welcome to walk around the resort and view the animals. The only thing you can't do is use the pool. There are no animals to view from Boma, but at Sanaa you can see animals on the savanna while you eat (you'd need to check sunset times though because there are no lights on the savanna). There are two sections of Animal Kingdom Lodge, Jamba which is where Boma is located and Kidani Village which is where Sanaa is located. The sections are walkable via a path (from which you cannot see animals). Both sections have viewing areas with night vision goggles available for viewing the animals after dark. Both have cast members available to answer questions. We've eaten at Boma and Sanaa and love both!
