Just made a request for private table for dining on Fantasy...

What is the likelihood that this will be granted? I have a feeling with the kids getting older, we will see much less of them during the day and would like to use dinner as family time. Anyone else feel the same or have requested this in the past?

It could happen how many are in your family. If it's four or more you will probably get your request. Once you are onboard make sure you go confirm it

There are five of us. Thanks for the info...

There are only 2 of us and we will be cruising on the Magic 3/27. How do I go about making that request prior to the cruise? We booked through a TA - do they have put in the request or is there a number I can call? If there a certain time frame that I should make the request? Thanks!

Your TA will need to have the request placed on your reservation. It really doesn't matter when you make the request, as long as it's basically prior to 2 weeks out from the cruise. It's my understanding that's when they start working on the seating arrangements for a given cruise.

I'm a solo cruiser and requested my own table for my last 7 Disney Cruises and got them all including my cruise on the maiden voyage of the Disney Fantasy.

There are only two of us and I always request it and then confirm once on board.
Where do you go to confirm your request to be seated alone? I requested & need to confirm as well.
First time cruising, so need to know where to go to confirm.
Sailing on Disney Dream on 12/07/2015.

It will be listed in the Navigator you get in the terminal at check in. The location can vary (although it doesn't often) from cruise to cruise.

We ate in the Enchanted Garden when we boarded and after eating checked where our table was in that restaurant. We were three adults and had requested our own table. We found that we were at a larger table. I immediately went to the royal court (where they were taking dining issues and Palo/Remy reservations) and they switched us to a four top.

Just be aware that in many cases, the tables are VERY close together and might as well be so. Our table in Royal whichever it is on the Dream was so close to the one next to us, the servers could not get between them and the father at the table next to ours decided we all needed to talk and bond.

The dining rooms were designed for the traditional cruise model of shared tables, and they only have so much floor space where the tables can go. The more people who are demanding (it's a request when you put it in and deal with whatever happens - it's a demand when you pitch a fit and insist you get what you had requested IMHO) their own tables, the less and less extra space there is, and bottom line is in order for the servers to have a chance at doing their jobs, the tables ARE going to be close together.

Agree--the clam shell tables in Enchanted Garden are rather private, but otherwise even at a "private" table you are sill close to other tables.

When you ate at the Enchanted Garden when you boarded, how did you know where to check to see where you would be seated for the dining dinners?

Thank you Princessshmoo for the advice, I will also check the navigator when we get there.

What other options other than room service are available for evening dining? This is our first cruise. I am hesitant about the dining & seating. My son has Autism Spectrum Disorder/high functioning, but struggles with communication, primarily innuendoes, sarcasm, & things of that nature. I just want us both to be comfortable during dinner & may opt for just room service dining......

Thanks for all the advice, it is truly appreciated. :)

when you get your key to the world card at check in there is a table number on it. each person in your party should have the same number. in the dining rooms each table has a small stand on it with a number placed at the top. once you find your number, this is the table you will be seated at. whatever the count is chair wise, it will be the same in each dinning room. if your table happens to have 8 chairs and there are only 4 of you then you may want to go to dinning changes.
we always request our own table (normally two of us) and have always received it however I always stop into dinning changes to confirm it just in case. the one time i did not request it i stopped in and they told me in order to change to our own table i would have to take late dinning. on that cruise we kept early seating and it was fine. turned out to be three other couples about the same age so enough to talk about.
I agree with Dug720. The tables are so close together you may as well be seated with the people beside you. on our last cruise there was a family seated beside us who wanted to know all about us and what we were eating. as friendly and nice as they were it became a bit annoying.

We're 4 and we've received it both times. Note that the tables are very close. They simply take the table for 8 and slightly separate it into 2 tables.

I had my TA request this for us. Can I can call DCL and confirm they see the request? We had an issue on our last cruise about DCL not getting this information. It wasn't a big deal but I would like to be more proactive about it if I can.
