Cabana Bay or RPR for January Trip?

I am booked at RPR Friday, Jan 8th through Tuesday, Jan 12th. I am thinking about changing to Cabana Bay. I've always wanted to try it but the thought of not having express pass has stopped me. Do you think universal would be ok with out express during this time period? Thanks

I'm going to be at Cabana Bay those exact dates, and according to the crowd calendars, it's going to be fairly low-crowd, so I'm not terribly worried about EP.

Every year, people always are surprised how much busier it is in early January than they expect. I'd stick to the RPR.

We go during the off season and still really enjoy having express pass. RPR is where we always stay - though we have done some split stays to save money. That being said, we are going to do CB for our April trip due to cost. We will need two rooms that trip so the price difference is too great. Otherwise, we would splurge on RPR. (We'll be there on Wednesday actually).

Thanks for the suggestions. I think I am going to stick with RPR. Can't wait!!

Personally, I'm always amazed at what people consider "crowded", but my greatest experience with theme parks is "Cedar Point in the middle of summer" where 2+ hour waits for roller coasters is normal.
