want to request specific room area via online check in?

I would like to request a specific range of rooms to try to get the view I want (staying at AKL) I know they may or not be able to honor that request but I would like to at least try. But the online form only gave me bullet points for upper or lower floors and one wing of the hotel. Do I need to call to add a more specific request (specifically the code listed on touring plans?) And if so, when? Now or closer to our check in date? TIA!

I am not familiar with any codes on touringplans, but you will need to call WDW reservations if you have a request that does not show up online. I would advise calling sooner, rather than later, as they may look at the date requests were entered when assigning rooms.

You definitely need to call reservations and have more specific requests like that added. I had the same issue with online check in at BCV this past trip as I was afforded only the choice of Canal view or Woods view along with a large balcony. After giving it some thought I did figure out that Canal view could also mean ending up with a view of Epcot Resorts Blvd again and I didn't want that. I called reservations and had them add Pool view and that is what I received.

I'll also add here that online check-in worked in a sense for me with my Kidani reservation, but when we switched to Poly and then again to BCV we had to go to front desk to take care of issues with Magicbands not able to unlock our room doors. Polynesian did a wonderful job and had everything squared away in about 5-10 minutes. BCV was a disaster. I had to go back to front desk twice to get Magicbands working properly and it probably totaled about 90 minutes of my time between the two instances.

Call to have the requests put on your reservation. Then when you are doing online checkin, do NOT make ANY requests, just leave that area without any checkmarks.

Hi, i tried to change my requests after i had made 2 already (after learning that CBR was doing some renovations on the building i requested which is happening the dates i will be there) but it will now not let me de select these two options and choose 2 other options. Has this happened to anyone else, if so how can i change this? And can i change this on the day if Im not happy with the building they gave me considering they have posted a note saying there will be construction noise in this area?

Just call 407-W-DISNEY. They'll enter your requests into your record.

Yes, you can change rooms on arrival, as long as there are rooms available in the area you want to move to.
