If I bought 1 annual pass for the room discount, can I book 2 rooms under my name? We are going with another family so I am trying to figure out if an annual pass would be worth it.

We are going for 4 nights next November and plan on staying at the HRH in a Deluxe room. It is 2 families, each with 2 teens.

Is there a reason to buy anything more than the Power Pass? We won't have a car to park.

Thanks so any feedback!

Well, I was able to get two rooms with mine, but it was only for our family and both rooms were in my name.

I suspect that you can too, but I don't know for sure.

I was under the impression that you could only book one room per AP, unless that has changed.

I'm trying to decide which AP to buy as well. Is there a standard AP discount %, or does it just depend on the hotel/season/etc?

It depends on season and days. And even depends on type for room. They'll discount the hard to fill rooms mostly.

FWIW the parking benefit is for the themepark parking, which isn't something an on-site guest would be using. So IF you had a car, no matter the type of AP, you would pay for parking at the hotel.

There are other discounts (food and merchandise) you get with the APs above the Power Pass. If you are big food and souvenir people, you might consider thinking about the discounts on those and how they might be worth upgrading to Preferred.

As for buying more than the power pass, we did it for the parking - which is something you won't need. But you also get a percentage off of food and merchan

Am I right in presuming that the person with a preferred pass can buy more food than just for that one person and still get the discount? We just had one person in our family get the preferred. (The rest have the Power Pass).

kohlby, you are correct.
i have the preferred pass and if i pay for all in my group when we eat, the bill reflects the discount on the total.

Absolutely.

Last year we booked a room with APH discount. Then a few weeks later my sister in law said she wanted to come. So I called UO and they added her room to our reservation and gave her the APH rate. They sent her confirmation to her email (it was a different con #) and she was able to pay for her room separately with her CC. And they gave us joining rooms.

My SIL got to the resort hours before us. I was worried that she wouldn't get the discount without our AP. But they never even asked her about the AP. It all worked out so nicely.

Just booked a APH room and looks like it no longer qualifies for YouFirst. Is this something new? My last APH room did qualify for YouFirst.

did you book for HRH?
that hotel is not a Loews and has no participation in the program.

also, third party bookings do not qualify for YouFirst

No, both this stay and previous are for PB booked directly through the Loews website with the APH promo code. Maybe it just shows up as non qualifying when you book and changes on completion?

a lot of us have issues with the Loews website when you pull up your account with them.

i book and qualify for the stay when using the ap.
but, the loews site usually does not reflect it right away.

usually it picks up and you get the credited stay after you checkout.
and for the times it does not show credit given, i call their help desk and it is manually changed.

Same here, and then it is usually credited. If not, as macraven posted, just call them up and they will fix it. :thumbsup2

Thanks everyone. I just booked a full price room for later in the year also (no APH rates yet), and it also says it's not qualifying. Guess that's just how they do it.

Thanks again! :thumbsup2
