Hello everyone! So I'm not sure if this is the best place to post, maybe it is, I'm still so new, but I am going to disney 01/04-01/11 and it's a very special trip! My mom turns 50 this year and so we are going on our first family vacation (me, her, my sister) in almost 6 years and it's my Mom's first time to disney in almost 15 years. So my sister and I really want to make it special for her. We are also bringing my Grandmother with us because my Grandpa passed away a few months ago and she hasn't been on vacation in almost 10 years since he got sick and passed. My boyfriend is coming as well and there are other members of my family who will be there throughout the week as well. So my questions are what are some truly magical and special things we can do to make this trip absolutely perfect for my Mom??
We have reservations at BOG, Le Cellier, 50s prime time, Chef Mickey's, and 1900 Park Fare. Is one of those particularly good for a celebration?? Should I look into somewhere else?? Are there any extra things I can purchase or book for her??

ANY ADVICE IS APPRECIATED!

Thank you!

Check the Disney florist website for a special gift to be sent to her. Sounds like a great trip!

Illuminations cruise? Dessert party? Don't know if these still happen, but they were special things we did for an anniversary.

Wishes dessert party is sold out :( I looked into that because it would be PERFECT. I spoke with someone on the phone at dining who said to just keep checking back, maybe even the nights we are at MK because sometimes people don't show up.

Well it just happens to be my wife's 50th birthday next year..I've promised her a Dooney & Bourke handbag, she is obsessed by handbags, (must have at least 30 in her collection) But as a surprise, I'm going to book her a spa..Not exactly sure which resort to book it at..We are staying at WL for 14 nights, so I've a wide spectrum as far as days go..Either GF or CR ...

That is a fabulous idea!! Thank you so much! I think booking her a spa treatment or two with my Aunt would be absolutely perfect and she would just love it :) That is a great plan! Also happy 50th birthday to your wife!

Your very welcome..And thank you, I'm sure my princess will enjoy being pampered..

I would let the restaurants know about her birthday, especially Le Cellier . I've never been there but I've of course heard the reviews and it is the most "grow up" of the restaurants you mention. You should also get her a "birthday" button so that everone knows she's celebrating and will wish her happy birthday. I also second the PP's who mentioned the shower arrangements and the spa day.

Lastly, you might consider making a bound book of photos from your trip when you come home. My parents took us to Disney for the week earlier this year and my husband made them a book (through shutterfly, I think) and they LOVED it. They were absolutely over the moon.
