I've never seen DVC rooms book so quickly.

I had to look at my "signature" to see how many years we've been doing this. I'm amazed, I'm impressed. I underestimated how many folks were like me...with their fingers on the keyboard waiting for 0800. Booking for Oct 2016 in the highly sought after Boardwalk Standard View Studio. We're at 95% success so I can't complain. Just, wow....crazy fast bookings.

I booked a boardwalk view studio for October 22 to 29 last Sunday, right at 8:00am. I checked at 8:15am, boardwalk view was still there but standard was gone.

I'd think a large part of that is the ever increasing popularity of F&W festival. From multiple cast members this year I heard crowds were worse than they'd ever seen before. I suspect BWV and BCV both are extremely high demand during these periods, and it will only continue to grow.

The irony in that is we don't have any interest in F & W. We just love the Boardwalk and I'm increasingly intolerant of September's heat. Thought we'd try October. I'm actually a little afraid of what F & W will do to our usually quiet Autumn vacation. I wonder if we should entertain the idea of trying a different resort?

The only 11 month booking issues are the standard view and boardwalk view studios, and the standard and boardwalk view 2 bedroom villas.

There isn't a problem with the Pool/Garden studio or 2 bedroom categories - those are still available for all dates in October, as are all booking categories for the 1 bedroom villas. Except for the weekends, even the BWV Grand Villas still have availability.

Feel free to try out other resorts. But if your only reason for considering that is a fear you won't get into the BWV resort by booking at 11 months, rest easy. :) (Most other resorts' studios will cost the same or more than the BWV Pool/Garden studios, anyway).

Attendance at parks and occupancy at resorts is trending up, so it's only logical that DVC bookings are booking faster.

October is the second highest DVC demand month of the year behind December. Availability at 7 months out could be limited, including that you may find nothing available except for SSR, OKW and AKV standard and savanna view and even OKW and AKV are not sure things. If you want Oct at a near park resort, I would strongly advise reserving BWV now; if you want standard and cannot get it today, reserve pool/garden and wait list the standard.

If you typically go in September and wonder the change in Oct, be aware that Oct is far more crowded than Sep at the parks. Epcot is madness on the weekends, MK packed daily, and Studios and AK can get beyond manageable some of the days.

We were there the first week of November this year. Everyday we had temperatures over 90 degrees.

September this year wasn't much different. There are very few really slow times at the parks any more.

It has been a very, very long and very hot summer season here in central FL this year. Ugh. Ready for some cooler weather. And a little rain would be nice for the lawns too…..

I agree that F & W has gotten ridiculously busy. I went only once this year and have pretty much decided I am done with F & W. It is very expensive to spend a day noshing and sampling beverages and to have to navigate big crowds, lines and miserably hot weather….well, I think ya'll can count me in as one less person at F & W. :(

And I heartily agree that there are no longer any "slow" seasons at WDW. They have become masters at converting what were formerly slower, more relaxed weeks of the year (January, May, Sept, Oct & early Dec in my estimation) and via festivals (F & W, Flower & Garden, Star Wars Weekends, etc.) and marathons (and they just seem to keep adding them), it is crazy busy just about all the time. Sure has impacted how often I visit. I've had a few CM friends tell me that they are getting blacked out from using their comp admission a LOT in the last year or so. Guess it's impacting everyone….

We went first week of February this year and crowds were very good. Never waited more than 20 minutes for a ride. Only thing longer than that was mine train and toy story which we fast pssed
