Ill be in Disney from December 5th to the 13th and I have been pondering this question since I booked this trip. My flight arrives about 5pm or so , im assuming Ill get to the hotel if I am lucky by 6. Any tips what to do the first night. I was thinking down town but I am meeting someone there the next morning so its like eh . I thought about seeing la nouba bymself or disney quest? Any suggestions would be awesome thanks !

I'm going to be in the same situation. I think I'm going to try catching "The Good Dinosaur" at Disney Springs AMC.

Depends on how early you had to get up, what hotel you're staying at, do you have multi day tickets.

As others have suggested, Yee-Haw Bob at Riverside is so much fun. Jellyrolls is great as well. Dueling piano bar. There is a cover for that though, $17

Or go to MK and see Wishes and Main St Electrical parade or even HS fro the Osburne lights

Go to Disney Springs for dinner and a movie. Or shopping. Or just resort hop

I will be down that weekend if anyone ants to meet up!

I never even heard of yeehaws I have to look into it ! I was definitely at first going to do jelly rolls or dueling pianos but unless footballs on I'm not sure how long I'd stick around at a bar by Myself lol but I still might have to go to jelly rolls to check it off my disney bucket list cause I always hear about it and never go. I definitely have an extra day on my pass too cause as you can tell I'm super indecisive so I thought about going to the park . last year I went the first night though and I couldn't just go to the park for fireworks I wanted to do everything and tired myself out the first night lol

I'll probably take you up on that. it's my first night I have to do something lol its not in my personality to relax

My first night on my last solo trip I went to the Boardwalk area, visited the Swan and Dolphin, ate at the bar at bluezoo, then stopped in at Jellyrolls for an hour or so. It was a gorgeous area to walk around in at night, definitely recommended.

With a flight arrival at 5, I think it's going to be 6:30 before you are in your resort room and now ready to leave it. I'd suggest scheduling a dinner at a resort other than your own, browsing that resort and your own gift shops, and settling in for an early night. You've got a long trip, you don't have to do it all that first night!

I also like the movie idea at DS. Could also eat dinner someplace there and just walk around.

Or, hit the park with the latest hours, exhaust yourself, and plan for a light first full day!

The benefits of a solo trip, it's all what you feel like!

I will be there 12/11 to 20. I also get in around 5 and don't expect to get to my first resort (OKW) until 6:30 or so. I was just planning on taking the boat to Disney Springs and hanging out there--perhaps movie or just hanging out at one of the bars--most likely Raglan Road. I've already seen La Nouba twice. I would definitely recommend it if you haven't--but it is expensive.

I've made up my mind I'm making it to jelly rolls this trip lol

I'll probably end up doing disney springs toward the end of the trip at night cause Sunday I'll be there during the day so I don't wanna do it back to back lol

which hotel are you staying at? POR has entertainment in their lounge, the bartender at the Pop was entertaining,

I'm doing all star music the first half and than pop the 2nd . I think I might actually try to resort hop that night lol

When it's that late, I'll usually try to walk into some resort table service or disney springs. With the holiday decorations, WL or GF might be perfect to enjoy the decorations and get a nice late night meal.

I'll be hanging solo this weekend and hitting the holiday party Sunday as well if you'd like to hang out at any point.

Same goes for you, Josh! Maybe catch the Jags game Sunday?
