Will be at at OKW for the first weekend of the '16 F&G (3/5-7); have a few questions:

--Any idea when the concert acts will be announced?
--Are the concerts on Friday, Saturday and Sunday OR just Saturday and Sunday?
--Do they offer a package for dinner & reserved concert seating? If so, when do they announce those?
--Is the first weekend really crowded?
--Any favorite food booth offerings? What's the usual price range at the food kiosks?

Any other info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much!

We go to F&G Fest every once in a while. I will try to answer a few questions
--Seems like the concert announcements are usually starting to trickle in late Jan. A great source that I seek out is the Disney Food Blog site. They seem to be on top of the announcements and keep them updated frequently.
--They are Fri. Sat. and Sun.
--We have never done the package for dinner, and honestly, you dont need in most cases if you are worried about seating. Announcement should come at least 2 mos prior too
--I dont remember that weekend being any more crowded than others
--No food booths really stand out for me, but they have done a good job of increasing them over the last couple yrs. Avg. prices are in the range of $3.50 to $5

I would take Carols advice and check out the past festival, it will give you a great synopsis of it all, and 2016 will mirror it very much

The concert I believe are Fri, Sat and Sun. Last year I recall seeing Billy Ocean.

Some food booth faves of ours last year were Florida local booth shrimp and grits, Italy ravioli, Mexico shrimp taco and pomegranate margarita, France creme brûlée and kids loved the Japan frushi.

I asked my son if he heard anything about F&G, but he said he hadn't. My guess is information will come out after the marathon or maybe not until early February . It usually doesn't come out as early as F&W.

Thanks to all who replied!

Would love to hear others' favorites from the F&G food booths.

Is it correct to assume that Friday will be less crowded than Saturday or Sunday?

Personally, I wasn't impressed with any of the food booths at all. Nothing at all like F&W. I go for the plants and flowers.

I liked the Florida Fresh booth, had a good strawberry/spinich salad. there are not as many booths as F&W but I enjoy all of them. It's really more about the flowers and plants I will be there March 6-11. I've always found it pretty easy to get seats at the concerts so no dinner necessary. I'm sure when info. starts coming in there will be a thread here on the board.

I still enjoy some "gifts" from the workshops in past years, and especially from year we made wildflower seed balls. There are many wild flowers that have come back year after year in my Ohio garden.

Check out the offerings in the festival center. Warning, get there very early if you want a seat with the workshop project!

My favorites were the Frushi in Japan and vegetable dumplings in France and the kale salad at Urban Farm eats.

We love the Flower and Garden Festival and being a retired drummer, we love the shows. We've seen some great entertainment.

I have found a website that seems to be pretty accurate about the performers even though there aren't many acts books. You can find it here.

We are excited to say we will be able to see Blood, Sweat and Tears with Bo Bice on Sunday April 17th when we arrive at BWV.

We are anxiously awaiting the announcement for the following weekend. I really wish Disney would get back to entertainment every day instead of just the weekends.

We went to the F&G and F&W 2015. Loved the F&G so much more. It seemed less busy and there were plenty of food booths. We saw the Guess Who. It was easy to find a seat (unless you want to be up front) and they sounded great.
