What's at the top of your child's Xmas list?

DD, 5: She wants Julie's bed (American Girl), a Lego Friends house, and basically everything she sees. She is getting a few Lego sets, American Girl doll accessories, a playmobil set, board games, and a few other small things.

We got the $60 bed set from American Girl dolls for my 6 year old. It isn't Julie's bed but the price point was much more reasonable and it is super cute. It is one of their special deals.

For those whose kids want Lego Dimensions, it is a very cool game, but you are going to spend a fortune on new Lego characters to add onto it!

My grandson, 8 1/2, wants R.E.V. Cars (Robotic Enhanced Vehicles) and of course Grandma is buying these for him.

If we specifically ask my DD6 what she wants Santa to bring her for Christmas, she doesn't know. And if she gets her hands on a catalog she circles every item on every page. Kids. So far I've bought a marble run (which she has asked for several times in the past) and a Goldie Blox set. My mom said she got her a set of Tinker Toys and DW's mom has gotten her Scrabble Jr and some kind of science kit about circuits/electricity. She also wants a science kit to make a volcano that erupts, but I'm thinking of putting that together myself since its so simple, and then maybe get her a book about volcanoes to go with it. I'll probably pick up another game or two, and some books.

DD2 is more difficult, since she has everything handed down from her sister and just wants to play with her sister's toys anyway. I'm looking for some dress up clothes in a smaller size for her but everything seems to be "fits size 4-6x." Will probably pick up some Frozen accessories like wand, tiara, etc since we somehow don't have those and she now LOVES Elsa. Other than that I have no idea. Maybe I'll look into those Magnatiles someone mentioned as a joint gift for both girls.

My 5 year old DS told me yesterday the thing he wants most of all is a calendar. :rotfl2:I asked him toy or calendar and he said calendar! So a Paw Patrol Calendar is on the way! His Santa gift is a Hot Wheels Volcano set and DD3 is getting a Barbie House.

He is also getting two Lego sets and likely the Imaginext Bat Bot. She is getting a bunch of Bitty Baby accessories, singing Elsa and a Little Live Turtle. They are both getting some books and clothes and tickets to an upcoming event (Frozen on Ice and Monster Jam). I am getting them another MagnaTile set to share and Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers which they fell in love with at Aulani.

DD3.5 x 2 (Twins!): They each want "a phone like mommy's to play games" so they will be getting a Leappad loaded with games and movies. They also saw an American Girl catalog at their cousins house and are in love. I don't want to spend $200 on dolls at their age so they got the faux AG dolls from Target. They will also get books, games, etc..

My youngest is 11 and he really wanted a trick scooter. Grandma ended up buying that for him. Our big gift will be the Xbox One. Its technically his but we will all play it. ;)

:D

I just convinced a friend that his DS 4 needed an xbox one...it's 100% for his DS and not for him at all (¬,¬)

DD3 has a list a mile long. Her big requests seem to be the life size Frozen dolls, Doc Mcstuffins Petvet, and Puppy surprise.

My kids keep changing their minds! Haven't done any shopping yet so I guess it's fine. Lol
This week it's
dd7 Anything Mal from The Descendants (dolls, sheet set, posters etc)
Ds9 Lego dementions, pokemon DS games and NERF
Dd11 (which will be 12 on Dec 27th) wants hair products like mousse to curl it and legos and an American Girl Doll! Such a tricky stage!

My 4year old DD wants anything Anna and Elsa, a couple of different Baby Alive dolls, and just about anything else she lays eyes upon when we are out and about.

My 3 year old DS wants a lightsaber even though he has never seen Star Wars. He just happened to come across my Darth Maul saber when we went to visit my family this year. I brought it home but it is bigger than him (double bladed) so now he wants a single blade one that he could use. He has a couple of foam swords right now. He will be getting a home built "kids" tool bench and Mickey tools from Melissa and Doug!

My 21 month old DS is content with whatever so he will get a few things of his own and probably share with the tool bench and tool set his brother gets (they are inseparable).

My 3 month old has no opinions and will not get a lot because we have more baby toys than you can imagine being on child number 4. Good grief!

My DS also asked for "science" stuff, but I don't really see anything that's appropriate for a 4 year old.

You could buy items to make your own science kit: plastic test tubes or centrifuge tubes and a rack, pipettes/droppers, graduated cylinders, beakers, petri plates, magnifying glasses, magnet wands, safety goggles, a balance, water beads, sun paper, etc. You can buy "real" science equipment or kid specific items (ex. Lakeshore Learning brand) through Amazon. Also check Pinterest or do a Google search for kids' science experiments and pick up the items you would need to do them. Baking soda, vinegar, salt, liquid food coloring, and shaving cream are a few things we've used. Some funnels and different sizes of clear plastic tubing from the hardware store are great too. You could even print out the experiment information sheets you find so everything is ready to go.

We really like the princess dresses from Little Dress Up Shop and their size small will fit a 2 yr old. They're stretchy and soft, no scratchy fabric, and are machine washable. They run $25-30 on their website but I just noticed today that Amazon has their exact Elsa dress for just $15.99 and the Anna dress is $20.87.

Ds15 - Air Jordan sneakers and a Nike Elite basketball Book bag. I got him both. The bookbag is something he's been wanting for a while and I refused. It's not on his Xmas list but he made the team at school last month so I'm going to surprise him with it. He's old enough that he knows what he's getting bc of his list but I try and surprise him.

Dd9- hover board. I refused to buy it. I know it's a novelty that she'll use for a few months and then it'll sit in the corner. XH bought her one. He can be the star of Christmas this year. Lol

Be careful with the hover board. There are a lot of reports of them catching on fire, or even exploding, due to low quality rechargeable batteries.

12 year old son wants a budgie bird (no thanks) so I don't know what he'll get
9 year old daughter wants clothing (easy)
