New member question???????

Hi,

We are new to the DVC and have just signed our first contract. We are now waiting for Disney to exercise their ROFR. The question I have is, if and when we become members, what can we expect to receive? Is there some kind membership pack and do we get some kind of membership card?

You will definitely get a card and most likely the welcome pack. But we bought direct so I'm not sure about the welcome. But you will need the card!

If you read some of the threads here in the purchase section, you will see what DVC is mailing resale buyers along with the info that you need to use the member website.

Have only ever gotten a new member card when puechased resale. We got a welcome packet when we bought direct only.

we bought re-sale and got a welcome pack, included member cards, points book and a couple of car DVC magnets

How long after getting your member number did you receive your welcome packet?

Still waiting for our member cards. At this rate, I may have to get them at BWV during our stay. Four more weeks!

we're in the UK and it was about six weeks, we ended up having our first trip before they arrived and got cards printed at SSR so we could still get a discount while we were there.

I think most people stop counting after they get their member number. I'd guess a week or two.

I can't remember getting a welcome packet. We did get the points charts and the card. It took about six weeks after Disney waive their ROFR.

I'm almost a month past getting member number and haven't gotten cards or point chart yet
