Biggest ADR Letdown?

This thread has been enlightening. I'm sorry to hear that so many of you have had bad experiences at so many of the popular restaurants. Guess I'll stick with Yak & Yeti and not try to get any fancier than that. :D

Akershus Lunch - Odd menu mixed with bland flavors coupled with way too much volume.
Chef Mickey's - Again with being too loud, the characters took forever to cycle around and the food was substandard slop.

Interesting that some of the restaurants that we're heading to next week, ones that I'm really looking forward to, haven't showed up in this thread on the negative side (Raglan Road, Yak and Yeti)

Sci fi unfortunately. Was come really looking forward to it with our family of 5 (3 kids). Then they say us at a regular table with the fake front of car (so we weren't facing the screen like most of the traditional cars). i wanted the kids to experience a drive in. We asked the waiter if we could move bc there were entry cars open and he said those were for people who had reservations. Dh said we made these reservations 6 months ago but waiter just stood there and smiled! Not wanting to ruin our lunch we just sat there but it was a complete let down. And a bit uncomfortable when trying to watch the movies!! That and when kids all asked for water with dessert he brought out bottled water and charged us ugg

Lunch at Chef Mickeys, it was our first time eating there, character interaction was amazing! But the food was just blah! It was 2pm and they had pancakes, eww.

Biergarten.

It gets raved about for even the pickiest of eaters. But evidently our family is more pickier than I thought. LOL.

The extra long time it took to be seated didn't help either.

Our biggest letdown was Kona lunch. Remember, I don't think of "letdown" as meaning worst. But we'd heard so many great things about it, and it just wasn't "all that". It was all about expectations-if we'd gone there with no expectations, not expecting to be "wowed" it might have been OK, at least acceptable.

Just returned from our trip on Tuesday. The biggest letdown for me was CRT. I ordered the beef tenderloins with egg. When I got it, the tenderloins were cold. Then LTT was the next letdown. I ordered the Colony salad w/ grilled chicken, the chicken was gross. Tasted like frozen chicken that was way overcooked and burnt. *Sigh* Won't do either again in the future.

We aren't very picky, and generally love Disney food, but our biggest ADR letdown was BOG dinner. It was super loud and crowded, but that was ok. The food however, was just not good. My chicken was room temperature, my daughter's grilled cheese was super greasy, and my son's tenderloin was almost all fat. We were bummed, but at least the cupcakes were good, and the setting was beautiful.

I have to agree with CRT. My daughter ordered the beef tenderloin for lunch, and received rotten meat. It smelled terrible when it was brought out and my husband tried a bite and had to spit it out. The waiter was great, was very apologetic and brought out a new dish which was fine...but I was extremely disappointed that any chef would send out obviously bad meat. I'm glad we went once, but we'll never go back. Wasn't super impressed with BOG either. We LOVED Rose & Crown, Garden Grill, 1900 Park Fare and Yak & Yeti. Ohana and Kona were very good too.

Tusker House breakfast. Chaotic, abnormally loud, cluttered and food was not good. Definitely a "one and done."

One thing to be aware of at Raglan Road is how loud it can be. The music can be extremely loud - we were frustrated trying to hear each other talk without absolutely yelling, so we just gave up. As long as you know that going in, and you're okay with that, you should be fine. Most folks really like the food there (I think it's okay, but most folks love it).

BTW, I love Yak and Yeti! One of my favorites.

BOMA!I know it's a huge favorite of most people... but yuck. It didn't appeal to us at all.

I think my heart just skipped a beat ;). We eat at Boma twice for dinner, and once for breakfast each trip. Now, Sanaa on the other hand, is not a favorite of ours at all and everyone else seems to love it.

Ohana dinner and BOG dinner.

Ohana was just weird. They sat my husband and I at this table for 2 where there was like 7 feet in between us. It was a very rushed, cafeteria like feeling. The wings, noodles, and bread pudding were good, but our server never came around to ever ask if we wanted anything. We couldn't get the meat people to come to our table, we got like 2 bites of meat and never saw them again. We wouldn't go back.

The food at BOG was not great. It tasted more like a counter service meal, kinda dried out and old. They also sat us in the room that's all green, with one other family in the entire room. We felt like we were eating alone in a wedding banquet hall with everyone else already gone. That meal again was very weird.

Ohana for dinner. Food was undercooked, server was as good as someone you would find at a neighbourhood McDonald's. It was so rushed and just horrible.

We did breakfast there on the same trip and it was OK. If it wasn't for the characters, it would be a never again.

We are pretty easy to please and loved all of our ADRs.... Except Crystal Palace. We wanted something nicer in MK aside from our other ADRs and it unpleasant all around. Food was terrible, service was terrible, atmosphere was terrible. Even with an ADR we had to wait an hour! I tried to sample different foods to find something I would like, but no luck. Dry, bland, or over cooked food. I think I settled for some very over priced salad.
Our "server" had a hard time keeping up with drink refills.

When we left were still hungry. Had to find a snack elsewhere. Never again!!
