We just returned from a 4 day trip. It was the 3rd time we used the DAS for my grandson but the first time it was on MDE. The first day and a half it worked great. The third day it rarely worked and we were usually just given paper FP. On our 2nd day we got a return time for Soarin. My grandson and half of our party rode while the other half chose not to. For the next 2 days those of us who had sat out for Soarin had a return time for it that would not go away. The CM's could not cancel it and could only issue a DAS return time for those who had ridden Soarin. Most issued a paper FP for the 3 of us stuck on Soarin but at least 1 CM refused to do anything to help us. At MK the next day they kept asking if the 3 of us were even in the park. It finally seemed to resolve itself on our last day.
My daughter had multiple CM's at different rides tell her that they could not give her a return time without my grandson there. She did not push the issue but just left and came back with him to get a time.
The DAS has been a great tool that allows my grandson to enjoy the parks with less stress but this time it was stressful for the adults who had to go get the return times! I think the paper DAS was much easier to use (and I had CM's tell me the same thing). If Disney wants to keep the DAS on MDE they need to fix it so that it works the way it is supposed to. And CM's apparently need more training.
