Can unused tickets be transferred to another person?

We are going to Disney with my parents and they do not have any tickets associated with their profile in My Disney Experience to get Fast Passes for them (I manage it all for them). I have some single-day hopper passes that I bought at a charity auction. If I add them to my parent's profile to make fast pass selections, can I later transfer them to another person if they are unused? And will the Fast Pass selections stay? They may have some old hopper passes with days left on them from a few years ago, and would use those instead.

Thanks for any help you can give me!

Never mind. I see now they are SINGLE day use tickets. So yes you can. Used Multi-day tickets are not transferable.

I did not know single day passes had hopper options?

Actually, any unused ticket can be transferred to somebody else. You can reassign them in MDX. It is only used tickets that cannot be transferred.

Good, that's what I thought. I have 3 day tickets linked to my parents on my account that I manage. They were supposed to go with us a year ago but changed their minds. I left the tickets linked to them for a possible future trip, otherwise I was planning to reassign them to one of our kids at some point if my parents don't end up going.

Yes that is what I meant. That once used they belong to that user.

If unused tickets were non-transferable, then technically each person that wanted to enter the park would have to purchase their own ticket.

Mine are comp tickets that I bought at a charity auction. I bought 4 for about $400. Not a great deal but a whole lot better than full price! And the money went to a good cause.

Disneyworld.com will let me put a one- day park hopper in my cart. $155 plus tax. Probably not the most popular option, but they do sell it.
That's what I meant to say, that the price is so high for single day tickets with park hoppers that they must be comp tickets. Thanks for correcting the info.
