Annual dues

I'm planning on going to the monthly payment plan for dues. If I do it now, will I have to pay what will be due in Jan. now or can I make the payments for the next few months and pay the balance in Jan? Also, do I have to use a bank account (debit card) or can on put the payments on a credit card? I would rather use my Disney Visa had I a choice. Thanks for the help!
 
You have to contact DVC accounting to find out what payments are due when.

My understanding is that monthly payments are taken only from a US bank account, no charging. That's why we pay yearly with a credit card for the points.

If you sign up for monthly dues payments, you have two choices for draft date. You can select either the 1st or 15th of each month. The January payment will always be taken on or shortly after the 15th (even if you selected the 1st). They basically divide the total due by 12 and that's your monthly payment. If they underestimated the prior years dues, any shortfall is typically due with the January payment.

The monthly Annual Dues payment option is only available on a direct debit basis from a U.S. bank account. If you would like to arrange for direct debit payments, please contact Member Accounting.
