So we visit every Sept, but always book room and resort separately. I am thinking I should make reservations for our Sept and Dec trips now an add tickets. If I do this will I get be entitled to the the reg MYW park hopper tickets in the event they change over to tiered pricing? Thanks so much in advance.

I'm wondering the same! I think I should book now for 2016

There's never a guarantee with Disney. But in the past, they have honored tickets purchased prior to changes. But if you make any change to your reservations, you will probably be subject to the new rates/ rules. So if you book a package now at rack rate & a discount comes out later, you will have to get the new tickets with their restrictions if you want the discounted package. Just something to keep in mind.

It seems extremely likely that current tickets will be honored 365 days a year. The outcry if they retroactively changed the dates allowed would be huge.

In the past, Disney has honored old tickets under their original terms, or even expanded them somewhat, as when they allowed people to use old admission tickets to enter parks that didn't exist when the tickets were purchased, or accepted park admissions from when admission didn't include rides (which were very cheap) and treated them as equivalent to current all-inclusive admission.

So they aren't necessarily required to continue honoring current tickets for any day, but it's a good bet they will. And they might not introduce tiered pricing at all. It's all still rumors at this point.

Book now and your prices don't change, your fd package doesn't change, your balance doesn't change. Wait or change your reservation and all bets are off.

Thanks to everyone for responding.

By FD are you referring to Free Dining? We have not booked this package in many years. HOWEVER based on Crowds this pas Sept, I am betting they wont even offer it in 2016.

Since you book room only, you could always buy your tickets separately, either from Disney or Undercover Tourist. That way the tickets are yours and would not be affected by any price changes. It's only when tickets are part of a package that they might be affected.

This is why I went ahead and got our order of 4- 4 day base tickets done. I need one more, but I need to save up around another $175 before I can get it. If the tickets don't change for another month or so I think it will be doable.

The free dining was already offered for fall 2016 as a bounce back offer. We just got back and booked it to make sure we got it.

Do you remember the last day for booking this? We are going in three weeks and I was hoping to book a free dining bounce back for next November. Thanks

The FD bounceback is only available May 31-June 7, then August 26 to October 1. You would have to check in one of those days to have dining for your entire stay. The offer is available for booking until October 31. If you want November or December dates, you will have to wait for a general public offer to come out.

Thank you. This is exactly the information I was looking for.

If you are going twice in one year, have you looked into an AP over buying tickets? You may save money on your park admission, resort, merchandise and some food.
