We are doing the Adventure by Disney Backstage Magic started Sunday night so decided to spend the day at Universal. We are from Soutern Ontario, time change is brutal so we were up super early. We got to the oark around 7:20 for an 8 a, opening. Walked through City Wak looking for breakfast and coffe and nothing was open.

The opened the gates around 7:45 and then held everyone just a little further into the park. We stopped and had breakfast at a place just to the right.

They let people throught promptly at 8 am. We walked right in Minions for the first ride then went down to the lower lot.

We did the Mummy twice in a row, they don't allow bags but finger print locker system was easy to use. We did Transformers next, then watched Megatron come out. Then we did Jurassic park and got totally drenched. We were then able to see the Raptor encounter and hen Bumblebee, decided to wait another 15 mins to see Megatron. Shopped around and then headed back up to the Upper lot. We did all this in just under 2 hours. It was 9:45.

On upper lot, we did The Simpsons, waited 20 mins for that and then Shrek, waited about 10. Checked out Springfield and then ate at Krusty burger for lunch.

Last was the studio ride, it had a 45 minutes wait, it was starting to get VERY hot. Wait was exactly 45 minutes, on the ride there was no breeze at all and we literally sat in the sun for almost an hour. And then it took 15 minutes if waiting to unload and it was brutal.

It was a great day all in all. If I could have changed anything. We would have done the studio tour right after coming up from the lower lot especially if this heat wave continues.

We were all done what we wanted to do by 2 pm.

Hopefully someone will find this information helpful and I would be happy to answer any questions.

Thanks for the TR!!! We will be there on Sunday Oct 25, your plan sounds very similar to ours.... We may do Minions then Simpsons, then head down to the LL. Then head up to the studio tour. We have rode all things similar in Orlando (besides the tour) so if we have to miss out on something we are good with it.

If you get there early that should be no problem. The lower lot doesn't open until 8:30 and if you wait a few minutes after the initial line rides through you will walk on.

Thank you for this! Very helpful! We are there for Thanksgiving. I get horribly motion-sick and am wondering which rides I should skip? I've heard that a lot of them are really bad. My DH and DD9 will be going on everything...but not me!

They are all mostly motion simulator rides, depends on how well you do with that. The Mummy and Jurrasic park are real "rides" so to speak. One a roller coaster the other like a log ride.

Thanks for the TR. My daughter and I are going un April and are thinking of doing the VIP exper. I wonder if its worth it of just get reg park tickets
