SASSAGOULA FLOATWORKS SNACK AND JOCK LINDSAY'S HANGAR BAR DRINKS

Our original plan was to have lunch at Disney Springs on our first day, since our plane got in at 11:30 and we didn't have dinner ADRs until 5:45. Things did not go as planned with check-in, however, and we didn't have time to eat much of anything prior to dinner. As a quick snack to hold us over, I shared a vanilla cupcake with DD from the food court at POFQ:

This cupcake was amazing! Tasted like it had just been taken out of the oven, and the frosting was buttery and flavorful. I could have eaten 10 of these, but I had to restrain myself due to our upcoming dinner. Unfortunately, my tummy got really upset after eating this. It could've just been stress from all the check-in issues we were having, or maybe the cupcake was just much more rich than anything I'm used to eating. DD shared the same cupcake with me and didn't have any issues, so I don't think it had anything to do with how it was prepared.

Shortly after our snack we headed to Disney Springs and had pre-dinner drinks at Jock Lindsay's Hangar bar. I had the Cool Headed Monkey (sorry I can't figure out how to rotate this picture the right way).
23m94zl.jpg

The menu describes it as Starr African Rum, Van Der Hum Tangerine Liqueur, lime juice, watermelon, and pineapple juice. Unfortunately, souvenir glasses were not yet available. My drink was refreshing, but quite a bit more boozy than I had expected. I know this is normally a good thing, and a sign of a drink being worth its hefty price tag, but it was hard for me to drink much of it with the tummy issues I was having after eating the cupcake. I drank about half of the (very large) glass, and let DH finish it off. I would definitely order it again, but only on a night when I'm fully prepared for a strong drink! The atmosphere of Jock Lindsay's was very nice. We sat outside and had a great view of the lake.

Up next...dinner at Raglan Road

RAGLAN ROAD

We arrived at 5:45 for our dinner ADR and were shown to our table after about a 10 minute wait. Our group was split into two tables next to each other.

Although the whole restaurant was loud, we were seated in the back of the restaurant where the volume level was a bit more manageable. I could easily converse with the people at my table, but it was impossible to talk to the half of our group seated at the table next to us.

At this point, I had only eaten half a cupcake all day and was starving! Although I had planned on ordering the Cluck Curry, I was in need of meat and potatoes, so I ordered the Serious Steak -- 10 oz sirloin topped with Irish whiskey marmalade glaze, with fresh basil oil, mashed potatoes & topped with beer battered onion rings.

Our server, Rhiannon, brought bread with Guinness reduction to the table:

The bread was a nice flavor and texture, but it was served cold. I enjoyed it, but couldn't help but think of how amazing it could have been if served warm. The Guinness reduction was delicious, and soaked perfectly into the bread.

It seemed to take a while for our entrees to arrive, but that may have been since I was SO hungry.

Here's my Serious Steak:

The Irish whiskey marmalade glaze and fresh basil oil were the stars of the show here. They transformed ordinary mashed potatoes and an ordinary cut of sirloin into something amazingly flavorful. The onion rings were also very yummy, with a heavy and crunchy batter.

DH ordered this pork dish (I can't recall the name):

He was not very impressed. He said it wasn't bad, but there was nothing special about it, and compared it to something from Applebees.

DD ordered the kids burger:

It was a thin burger on a thick bun, and didn't seem to be anything extraordinary, but she ate it up and seemed to enjoy it.

For dessert, I had the Fluffy Lemon Clouds:

This was some creamy, tart, lemony goodness in a buttery tart and I loved it! I only wish I wasn't too full to eat the whole thing.

DH had the Apple Crumble:

He said it was just OK -- a bit too sweet for him. He didn't eat much of it.

We couldn't see much of the Irish dancing from where we were sitting, but my DD would walk over and watch it. Here she is watching from our table:

She had fun mimicking the dance moves in the space between our two tables. The Cast Members tried very hard to get her on the stage, but she's pretty shy and didn't want to participate. They gave her an "I danced at Raglan Road" sticker anyway :-)

The Verdict: I would return to Raglan Road, but I don't think my DH would. Most of our group seemed to agree that it was a respectable meal and no one would be disappointed if they ended up there again, but that it wasn't so good as to warrant a repeat visit when there are so many other options at WDW.

BE OUR GUEST BREAKFAST

We had an 8:25 ADR for Be Our Guest, but a little birdie had told me they aren't too picky with specific times of prepark BOG. So I woke everyone up at 5 AM to get us out at the bus stop by 6:30! Some of us were slower than others, and that resulted in half of our group being left behind, but they got on the next bus and caught up with us quickly.

Here's what we saw as we approached the gates:

Don't mind the pole...it was a very early morning!

We had to wait for the bag check guys to come on duty. Then we had our Magic Bands scanned and were directed to the breakfast line. There were maybe about 10 people in front of us. They did not ask who had ADRs for what time, just sent everyone to the line. We chilled there until 7:30, at which point we were ushered under the train station. At 7:45 they let us through.

Here's how empty the park was:

We were at the entrance to BOG right at 8 AM and let in immediately.

The pre-orders were a disaster with such a large group, and we all ended up completely re-doing our orders. That delayed us quite a bit, but we were still able to grab seats in the West Wing!

Our food came quickly. I was at a table with Ryan, Maddie, Rachelle and Amelia, so I only got pictures of the food at my table.

Here's my meat and cheese board:

So, I have a thing about runny eggs. That thing is...I won't eat them. So, this was the option that made the most sense for me to order. I enjoyed the brie -- it was creamy, cool and flavorful. The jam had a honey taste to it and was super yummy as well. The meats were good...I found them to be a bit greasy though. The bread wasn't my favorite. It tasted dry. This would have been a great meal served with a nice, fresh baguette.

Here is Ryan's open-faced poached egg sandwich (on very good, yummy, fresh bread)

He really seemed to be enjoying it, until Rachelle offered him a taste of this...

The Croque Madame was a huge hit among all the runny egg loving people in our group. Almost everyone changed their order to this for our 2nd BOG visit later in the trip.

Maddie had the crepes...

...and she didn't eat them. Not one bite. The berry foam was too adventurous for her.

She did enjoy the pastry plate, which was fresh and yummy (exact opposite of the baguette!) I would advise however, that the one that looks chocolately is actually a raisin spice flavor. Well played, Disney!

Maddie LOVED the West Wing and would cheer every time she caught a glimpse of the portrait of the prince changing into Beast. She also was very delighted to point out the claw marks all over everything. I think part of the reason she didn't eat much was because she was just so excited about the room.

Amelia, on the other hand, did not seem to enjoy the West Wing. She fussed through most of breakfast. Rachelle took her for a walk and she was fine, then she started fussing again when she returned to the table. She was fine again after we left. We concluded that the darkness and thunder noises may have been a bit scary for her.

good pictures so far, nice write up. i will be following this thread!

great tidbit on the BOG ADR - i have the same time for thanksgiving AM, so i am grateful for your note - being allowed in at 7:45. I know where I will be that AM :)

Yummy! We are doing BOG breakfast this trip.. wasn't so sure about the $21 price tag but the food doesn't look bad. I like the meat and cheese plate! Although I would have been a little upset at the stale baguette too. The sandwiches look good as well.

ALOHA ISLE SNACK & TRADER SAMS DRINKS

I always like to grab a Dole Whip on my first Magic Kingdom day. It's kind of an official "I have arrived" type of thing. This time, our midday Dole Whips basically served as our lunch. Since we had our big BOG breakfast, and had 1900 Park Fare dinner to look forward to, we really only wanted a light refreshment to pick ourselves up at lunch time. Dole Whips were the perfect solution.

I'm very happy with Aloha Isle now at the Sunshine Tree Terrace location. Despite the moderate crowd levels at Magic Kingdom park, we walked right up to the counter and had our treats within minutes. It definitely beats the hour-long wait I had in the blazing sun last year.

Here is Maddie enjoying some pineapple delight:

She had pineapple soft serve while the rest of us had floats. Everything was just as yummy as always -- tart, smooth, creamy. These really hit the spot on a hot day!

Later in the afternoon, we found ourselves with some time to kill before dinner, so we stopped by Trader Sam's Grog Grotto. There was a 30 minute wait for seating inside, so unfortunately we did not get to experience the cool theme and ambiance. I thought maybe the outdoor seating area would also be themed, but when we walked out I was a little bummed to see that it was just a regular patio. Even though it was not themed, it was large, fairly quiet, clean and well maintained. A great atmosphere for a drink, even if it wasn't themed.

I ordered the Hippopoto Mai Tai:

Coruba Dark Rum, Bacardi Superior Rum, Bols Orange Curaçao, Orgeat (Almond), Organic Agave Nectar,
and fresh Lime Juice. Served in a souvenir Tiki Glass.

Now I'll admit, I selected this drink completely for the glass (It's sooo cute!!) and didn't pay much attention to the drink description. When I took a sip, I noticed that I had another very strong drink on my hands. It was yummy, citrusy, refreshing, but definitely strong. Considering that this was about 5 PM and I had eaten nothing but a Dole Whip since our 8 AM breakfast, I definitely drank too much. My tummy was a bit upset when I threw in the towel about 3/4 of the way from finishing.

Here's what Ryan ordered:

I honestly can't remember what this drink was, but I do know that he enjoyed it and that it came in a REALLY cool glass!

Here is Maddie's Polynesian Punch:

Sam’s Gorilla Grog and Hibiscus Grenadine. Served in a Souvenir Sipper

I tried a sip of this, and I really didn't taste much grenadine. It tasted more like Pineapple Banana cocktail to me. Very good, but not what I expected. Maddie enjoyed it though, and the cup it came in is really cool, and all she wants to drink out of since we came back.

I enjoyed Trader Sams, and thought the cool glasses and well made drinks were worth the high price tags.

In the future, I'll be prepared for stronger drinks than is typical of Disney at both Jock Lindsay's Hangar Bar and Trader Sam's Grog Grotto. I love strong drinks, but I do need to be prepared for them with a full stomach and plenty of time to sip slowly. Going into these two drink experiences, I was expecting something frou-frou that was mostly juice. Yeah, that totally didn't happen. These drinks were very potent.

I also would like to experience indoor seating next time I return to Trader Sam's Grog Grotto. It seems like such a cool environment!

Up next...1900 Park Fare dinner.

I went to the Trader Sam's in the Disneyland Hotel, and got the drink Ryan got. It was called Krakatoa I believe, and ordering it inside caused a bit of excitement as it cues some of the "special effects" of the bar. My glass is orange though, his looks red...

Thanks, neither of us could remember the name. I'm bummed we missed out on the "special effects" inside

1900 Park Fare Dinner

I'm going to apologize in advance for this review not being very well done or helpful. I was really feeling the effects of that strong drink (and sadly not in a good way) so I didn't eat much, and didn't take any food pictures of the little bit I did eat. I promise I'll do better with the other ones! Also, what I lack in food photos I'll make up for in character photos!

Our ADR was for 6:35, but we tried checking in about an hour early, and were seated about 15 minutes after that. I loved the quick seating, and was thankful for it due to not feeling well, but we didn't get time to linger outside to have our photo taken in front of the castle backdrop.

When we went here last year we were in the first dinner seating. Things were organized, no characters came out until everyone had a chance to eat a while, and all the food was fresh and pristine. It was so amazing that we decided to return again this year.

I gotta say, the experience was quite different later in the evening. Characters were approaching our table before we even had a chance to sit down, and more were on the horizon. The adults without kids in our group didn't care about meeting the characters, so they headed straight for the buffet. I had no appetite yet, so I sat at the table with the kids and waited for the characters to come while Ryan and Rachelle got food.

The characters were great as always. Maddie says Prince Charming was her favorite. Here are some pictures of everyone we met this night:

Eventually I got a little bit of food. I was only feeling up for some light seafood, so I had a few rolls of sushi and a spice-crusted salmon filet. Both were good, not quite as delicious as I remembered from last year, but this was likely due to me not feeling the best. Everyone agreed that it was a nice meal, and the variety of the buffet fit the needs of our large and diverse group. I just really wish I'd been able to eat more!

Sassagoula Floatworks Food Factory Lunch

One of my favorite things about POFQ is how quaint and peaceful the food court is at breakfast time. I love that our big group can meet there in the morning, and there's no worries about finding a table, mug filling is quick and easy, and there just isn't as much chaos as there is at some of the other food courts.

When we decided to take a resort break and have lunch at the resort, I was excited to try it out and see if it was as nice as breakfast!

We arrived at the food court around 12:30. It wasn't particularly crowded, but their resources didn't seem equipped to handle the crowd level that was there. Lines were slow moving, and there were long waits for food to be prepared. I waited in line and ordered a shrimp po'boy for myself. I was given a pager and then went to a different station to order Maddie some chicken strips. The ordering process took a good 25 minutes, and then it was about another 10 minutes before the pagers went off. When I checked out, I was given a form that would allow me to claim our desserts (we were on the dining plan) after we'd finished our entrees.

My Po'boy looked amazing...

and it was ALMOST perfect. The shrimp were plump, well-seasoned and slightly breaded and fried. Veggies were fresh, and there was a small amount of spiced mayo to give the sandwich a nice kick. My only complaint was regarding the bread. It was huge, thick, and DRY. Borderline stale. This would have been an amazing sandwich if served on flatbread or a nice, fresh baguette. I'm not sure why we had such bad luck with bread on this trip, but there's nothing that kills an otherwise good sandwich like old bread.

The homemade chips were a yummy treat, with just the right amount of seasoned salt. For dessert, I went back for some beignets. I always love having these at POFQ, and they didn't disappoint this time. I only had enough tummy room for one, but Maddie was happy to help finish them off...

I always mean to ask for less powdered sugar on mine, because Maddie always ends up eating some and it's so messy!

I believe the beignets at POFQ to be an incredible value if you're on the dining plan. You get 3 for a snack credit if you're buying them by themselves, or 3 as a dessert with an entree. I easily get filled up from one! It's a very generous and delicious choice. It's also cool to watch them fry them up right in front of you.

I would do lunch at POFQ again, but I don't think I'd order the shrimp po'boy again unless I could be reassured that the bread was fresh. Maybe something like a salad or a wrap would be a better choice -- with beignets for dessert of course!

Tusker House Dinner

I was really excited to try this meal! I've read so many reviews (most very positive!) of Tusker House breakfast, but never hear much about dinner, so I was really curious. I also had hoped to take Maddie to a dinner with "classic" characters. We did Garden Grill last year, and the reviews for Chef Mickey's scare me, so Tusker House was the most logical choice.

We made a very late ADR -- 6PM on a night the park closed at 6. The check-in line was short, and we were shown to a very roomy, comfortable patio to wait while our table was being prepared.

Maddie, Rachelle and I took the opportunity to pose for a PhotoPass photographer who was hanging around, taking pictures in front of the restaurant:

We were taken into the restaurant after about a 10-minute wait. The theme of the place was very well done, and everything seemed open and spacious. Our table, however, was in a corner and very tight, with all of us so close that we hardly had any elbow room. It was frustrating to have all 14 of us squished into a corner when the restaurant itself was so open and roomy.

Characters started coming by very soon after we were seated. We gave our drink orders, then I hung out with the kids so Rachelle could get food without us missing the characters, and then we switched. During that time we got some amazing photos. The character interaction was outstanding the whole night. Here are a few of our favorites:

It was honestly the best character interaction I've ever seen in all of WDW. I'm not sure if it was because it was so late and there weren't many people at the restaurant, or because they were just THAT good, but each character spent tons of time with us, and went above and beyond to make our kiddos smile.

As far as the food goes, well, here is my first plate:

Everything here was pretty much average, as quality goes. The rice was cooked well and nicely seasoned, the cold cuts were a little greasy, cheese was a little bland, steak was pretty good, with the flavored butter on top making it even better, chicken wings seemed a bit under cooked, potato wedges were pretty standard, and pita bread was nice and fresh.

Here's my second plate:

I think the salad was my favorite part of the meal. Veggies were fresh and tasty, and the house-made salad dressing really gave it a good kick, even if the texture of it was a bit too runny for my tastes. I also had some yummy pork with sauce, and another pita bread with some rather bland tasting salsa.

Here are my desserts:

Everything was OK, and managed to pacify my sweet tooth, but there was nothing that stood out as being excellent.

Our server was very friendly, but I think he may have been new, because he lagged behind in everything from drinks to bringing the bill. He also really struggled to split gratuity money and dining credits among our large group. Due to all the confusion, we ended up there very late. We, along with the one other table still remaining, got the see all the characters come back out and do longer meet-and-greets, and also goof around with one another and the kids. I'm not sure if they do this all the time at the end of the night, but if they do it was definitely worth it to get a late ADR. They were dancing, waving out the windows, playing with the kids. It was like our own private performance. Perfect!

I would return to Tusker House just for the character interaction alone. It was amazing. The food was average, and there were a couple things that stood out as being very yummy (salad!), but I wasn't impressed enough that the food alone will get me back there any time soon.

Service was definitely lacking, but again, I think the Cast Member may have been new in his role.

Overall, the characters were the saving grace for this restaurant. I do feel bad for our adults without children, however, as they had zero interest in characters, and the restaurant was definitely meant to be more of a character meeting experience than a fine dining event. I also give Animal Kingdom Cast Members tons of credit, because they helped us get a bus ride back to the resort, even though we didn't finish eating until a good two hours after park close.

My Disney Girl's Perfectly Princess Tea Party

Maddie and I were so excited to be able to experience this. Yes, it was expensive, but Maddie opted to do it instead of a birthday party at home with her school friends. She had very high expectations, and I was nervous, wondering if it would live up to what she thought it would be.

We arrived at the Grand Floridian about an hour early. We needed to take both a bus and a monorail to get there, and I didn't want to take any chances -- being late would have cut into the experience! So, we started our travels two hours early, and arrived with an hour to spare.

I took the opportunity to snap some pictures of Maddie...

We found some seats at the far end of the lobby near the Garden View Tea Room, and soon started to notice some other little princesses and their moms gathering around. An attendant arrived at the podium outside the tea room at about 10:25. We walked up to her, and she checked us in and gave Maddie a name card:

It said, "Princess Madeline of the Sunflowers". They spelled Maddie's full name incorrectly, but she didn't mind.

We were ushered right in front of the tea room entrance, and other princesses and parents began to fill in.

We snuck a peek inside the Garden View Tea Room...

The hostess was very friendly with the children, and she engaged them in little games and conversation while we waited for everyone to arrive:

There ended up being about 10 girls in attendance -- a very intimate group!

The hostess explained how all of this would go down. Rose Petal would be coming out, and she'd announce each child one at a time, crown her, and then child and parent would be shown to their seats in the Tea Room.

Here's the first look at Rose Petal as she greeted the girls...

Maddie was called first!

She was crowned and sprinkled with Rose Petals...

Then Rose Petal had some words with her...

and they posed...

I really wish they would have had PhotoPass Photographers around for this part, as you can see that the lighting was not great, and my pictures didn't turn out too well.

After meeting Rose Petal, we were shown to our assigned seats, which were at the end of the Tea Room closest to the lobby, facing the outer window. We had a great view, but all the backlighting made the other pictures I would take throughout the event look discolored. In the future, I'd ask for a seat by the window so I'd be looking away from the light while taking pictures!

When we got to our seats, we were told not to touch our napkins yet. Maddie could care less, because she only had eyes for this...

The Aurora doll was waiting for her at the table, along with a magic wand. The doll is very similar to the "Disney Princess and Me" dolls you can get at Toys R Us. Maddie actually has a Rapunzel doll from this line, and commented right away that the Aurora doll was just like her Rapunzel. Here's a picture of some of the Disney Princess and Me line...

I think it's worth noting that the Aurora in this line wears a different dress, has a different hairstyle, and does not have identical facial features. So, although the size, body, and style of the My Disney Girl doll is similar to that of the Disney Princess and Me doll, the My Disney Girl doll is still unique and exclusive to the Tea Party. I personally would have preferred the old style doll that was more like an American Girl doll, but Maddie seemed delighted with the doll they gave her.

The magic wand wasn't anything too fancy, just a basic pink wand, wrapped in ribbon with a wire and bead top.

Once everyone was seated, Rose Petal instructed us to open our napkins and put them on our laps.

Maddie discovered a charm bracelet inside her napkin...

It was imitation silver with little gems in various colors to represent all the princesses. She was quite pleased with it!

While we were in the midst of the napkin excitement, our tea had been served.

Maddie had a pink pot and cup, with warmed up apple juice inside, and here's what I had:

I don't particularly like tea (or any hot beverages for that matter) but this tea was enjoyable to drink. It wasn't something I'd sit at home and guzzle down, but there was nothing bad about it either.

Soon, our food was served.

Maddie had peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, ham and cheese sandwiches, and fruit, all topped with Mickey sprinkles:

She inhaled the ham and cheese, but didn't want much to do with the PB&J. She also picked at the fruit, but didn't eat all of it. Overall, she seemed happy with her meal and full.

My meal consisted of egg salad sandwiches, chicken salad sandwiches, cucumber sandwiches, a couple cheeses, crackers, and grapes. The sandwiches were made with nice, fresh bread (hooray!!) and tasted amazing. I ate mine right up, and then noticed that all the moms around me had left some of theirs. Woops. Dainty eater, I am not. Seriously though, the sandwiches were way too good to be picked at or left behind. The cheeses were also very good -- tasted like they were definitely high quality. The crackers were thin and crispy, but maybe could have been salted more. The grapes were cold, juicy and fresh, as they should be.

I've read in other reviews that you shouldn't skip breakfast or lunch on the day you do this Tea Party, because the portions are small. I have to say, I wholeheartedly disagree. We are from Wisconsin, and we like to eat. But, we also skipped breakfast, ate the food at the tea party, and were not hungry for lunch. If you actually eat all you have (and don't leave food on your plate trying to fit in with the other moms who clearly didn't skip breakfast!) you'll be full, and the meal could easily pass for brunch!

Around the time food was being served, the pianist who was playing for us throughout the event came around to each table to do a meet and greet and sign autographs:

While we were eating, Rose Petal told her story. Her story telling methods included narration, song, dance, and sign language. She really was amazing! I was skeptical at first, as she looked like just a 30-40ish-year-old woman wearing a pink dress, and I didn't know what all the fuss was about. Then, when she started to perform, I got it! She has a beautiful singing voice, and is an excellent dancer. The kids were all captivated by her, and so was I. It was like having our very own performer there to entertain our little group.

After she was done telling her story, Rose Petal helped get the girls prepared to meet Aurora by calling them up to join her on the floor. There, she taught them how to sing "Hail to the King" in sign language, and she taught them how to properly curtsy. Soon, Aurora came out and joined them, and they all had a little parade around the room, followed by dancing. The whole time the pianist played in the background, and the girls could request their favorite Disney songs.

Then the girls sat back down, cake was served, and Aurora and Rose Petal started making their rounds for meet and greets with each girl at her table.

During this time, the hostesses also passed around blue cinch bags with the Perfectly Princess Tea Party logo for the girls to stash their gifts.

We had our cake before either of our meet and greets:

Ooh, this was good! Fresh layers of cake, light whipped frosting, topped with buttery cream topping and a ripe strawberry, with strawberry sauce on the side. Perfection! And the pieces were more filling than they look. If you ate all your sandwiches, fruit and cake you definitely would not go hungry at this Tea Party!

Rose Petal came by to meet Maddie first...

She chatted with her for quite a while, and gave her the necklace in the picture.

Here's a closer look at the necklace...

It was basically just a ribbon with a fake plastic jewel on it, but Maddie loved it, and it seemed very special being put on her neck by Rose Petal, who had just been wowing her for the past hour.

Aurora came to our table next, and she brought Maddie a fresh pink long stem rose.

She was very sweet. Gushed over Maddie's dress and made her feel special.

Once the meet and greets were done, all the girls were led in a big princess parade throughout the Grand Floridian, carrying their loot in their cinch sacks (the dolls didn't fit too well, so I carried Maddie's for her)..

The parade ended on the second floor, where there was an area set up for PhotoPass photographers to take pictures of each girl with one of the Aurora dolls. Here's Maddie's picture...

After the photo shoot, they were invited into the gift shop where each girl got to select a name for her doll and have it printed on an adoption certificate. My ever-so-original child chose "Aurora". They also got a sheet of stickers along with their certificates, and then it was done! The whole thing took about 2 hours.

So, was it worth it?

If you're in it only for the things, then no. The crown was dollar store quality and cracked into pieces after one day in the parks, the necklace and bracelet were no different than all the countless play jewelry little girls accumulate, and the doll was from the exact same mold as something you can get from Toys R Us for $30. There is something to be said for all of these being unique to the event. So many Disney souvenirs are repeated and scattered all over the resort, so any time you can find something unique to one place it's always a good thing, but the items themselves were not worth the $300 paid for the event.

I do, however, think the experience as a whole was worth Maddie skipping a birthday party and participating. The live performance from Rose Petal, the pianist playing the songs you request, being able to drink tea from a real tea pot, the character interaction, and the yummy food were all factors. It was a morning Maddie will always remember, and it has been the thing she's talked about the most since we've been back. There is a lot of value in parents giving some one-on-one attention to their little girls, making them feel special, and boosting their self confidence, and this experience succeeded in doing that.

Loving your report, especially your review of the princess tea party! Having three grandsons 3, 2 & 1, I'm wondering if I'll ever have the opportunity to do something like this someday! Your daughter is adorable!

I just found your report. Great so far! What a crowd you were with, I hope that was a fun as I imagine it was.

I had a question about your TH dinner but cannot remember what it was, lol. But that's because your comment about the value of the tea party made my eyes tear up. You are so right about spending time with our girls.

Looking forward to the next installment, and should I remember the TH question I had, I'll ask!

There is a lot of value in parents giving some one-on-one attention to their little girls, making them feel special, and boosting their self confidence, and this experience succeeded in doing that.
