Thinking of eating here on my next trip. How is the food and service. A little nervous because it will be me going solo. You have to pay the full amount up front correct?

Thanks.

My family and I went to CRT on our first trip in 2013 for dinner. We all really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere is amazing. We plan on doing it again on our next trip in 2016. When you make the reservation you have to give them a credit card and this is the only restaurant that I have found so far that you pay in full when you make the reservation.

My mom and i went in october last year and did lunch. Food was good as we got the salad with steak on top. Nothing to rave about but was still really good. And the midnight dessert was awesome! Our server was really good as he "dropped" a menu so we could take it home and then gave us a plastic shopping bag so no one would see and then we didnt get wands so he made sure he brought them rigt over. And yes you have to pay the full amount but if you cancel they refund it right away

My family, me hubby and DD 11, went last month. It was our first time for dinner (usually go for breakfast). The food was surprisingly good. Service was great too..at least our waiter. Character rotation was as slow as molasses. We were finished eating app, entree, dessert in less than an hour. Still another hour or so waiting to see all the princesses. There were plenty of tables for 2, so I wouldnt see a problem going solo. If youre by a window, you can people watch the "common folk" outside :) Yes, you pay up front (unless your on the dining plan, then just use 2 credits) Gratuity is included.

Here are some pictures... As you will see, we saw one princess before dessert, then had to wait for the rest. Our reservation was at 5:30pm. You can also notice by the time the last princess got to us, the restaurant had cleared out. People gave up waiting.

We had dinner there in October 2014 and in August 2015. So twice in less that year but with a different group og us. In October there were three adult women, and we all ordered diferent items from teh dinner menu. Steak and shrimp for one, the seasonal gnocci another, and I got the roasted pork. We all enjoyed our entrees. The food was prepared well, and it was served hot. Our appetizers were good. I lked the pork belly. I cannto remembe the others but no complaints! Desserts were goo too.

Our server was so much fun! She was enthusiastic, especially after hearing one of the ladies with us had never met a Princess!!! Nope....never.....deprived child she was !!! LOL! Anyway, the food is not fine dining, but it is good, and the service, atmosphere and character interactions were all wonderful adn worth the money we paid.

I was there again in August with the little family on our street. The two Little Princesses had been to the Ivy Trellis to get their hair done and were garbed in their Royal Finery. So two women and two young Princesses. The food and service were both good, wth the server bringing the girls birthday cupcakes as a surprise. The character interactin was really very good, which has worried me. I saw all the kids in the dining room and thought the girls might be rushed, but no, it was fine. I don't know if it was because school was still out, but HOLY LOUD! It seemed way more chaotic than in October. I had not noticed any ill behavied children then, but this time we were Blessed with several unruly tables. How parents think it is acceptable to use the aisles between tables as a gymnasium is beyond me, but we were in the middle of a few tables of families with behavior issues. The rest of my party had gotten stranded in a downpour in DTD andthen further delayed after a bus accident. By the time they got back to the resort they really did not want to race to the MK soaking wet and miserable. I was annoyed when I was told, but after a while in that zoo I told the girls Mom that it was probably a really good thing. They would have been put right over the edge by te ruckus.

So in general: this is primarily a character interaccion is a lovely Castle. The food, while good, is secondary to te location. The service is good IMO. The price is oky when you consider the location and that the character interaction as well as the gratuity thais added in. With all of this in mind....it is a character meal and there will be kids. Lots of kids, so you may get the luck of the draw like we did in October, or the short end of the straw like we did in August when it comes to the entire experience. Our girls knewbette than to join in the frolicking, but it was distracting.

We had breakfast at CRT in December 2013. The atmosphere is amazing, and for me, gives me flashbacks of eating there as a child. However, it is pricey, and we're not crazy about the food. It's not that the food was bad; it just wasn't to our liking. We're not foodies, so presentation and "fancy food" aren't as satisfying for us. I had steak and egg, but the steak had some kind of sauce on it that I didn't care for. We feel that the Royal Akershus breakfast is quite tasty and we enjoy the interaction there, so for us Norway it is for Princess breakfast. We do Akershus every trip. We will do CRT again in the future - probably try lunch or dinner.
