Gift Card Balance on Receipts?

When you purchase something using a Disney Gift Card, does the receipt have the gift card balance listed on it? Using gift cards to pay for most purchases on our trip next week and wanted to know if they’re like most other retailers who give you the balance on a receipt. Would be must easier for keeping track on vacation if I can just wrap the most recent receipt around each card. We’ve got 5 (one for each child, one we’re using for gratuities and one for the grown-ups’ souvenirs)

Yes! We did that as well, wrapped the newest receipt around the card so we knew exactly how much remained. I also have the Disney Gift card app (not sure if it still exists?) which I had entered all of our cards to keep track but I never used the app since the info was on the receipt.

Thanks so much! One less thing I have to worry about Didn't want to have to keep checking on the website to see what is left!

I had brought a sharpie in case I needed to write on them but the receipt wrapping worked perfectly.

The receipt will have the GC balance on it and usually the CM will point it out or circle it as well.

I cut a white blank mailing label into smaller squares and put them onto the giftcard. As I use them, I can just put the balance right onto the sticker crossing out the old one. Then you can use anything...not just a sharpie.

I did the same thing! Easiest way to keep track of things. There is also the Disney gift card website to keep track of things. The APP is completely outdated from 2010 and hard to find on the APP store.

has anyone ever used a Disney Store merchandise credit somewhere at WDW? I have a regular gift card and then another card with a merchandise credit from something that I returned. I tried to move that balance onto my regular gift card and it wouldn't let me, so I'm wondering if I can only use that merchandise credit at an actual Disney Store (in a mall or something).
