wow…they finished that fast….it wasn't close at the end of june.

now if they can build a interchange meant to last 50 years in a few months…hmmmm…i wonder?

Yes they did! I was surprised too! I hope these upgrades will be good for a long time!!

I guess those typhoon lagoon expansion plans are on permenant hold...this ramp must huge the berm of the lazy river

Yes! It's already helping. Last night, Buena Vista Drive was much more reasonable, even on a Friday Night. :-)

no question….

they have made some steady advances on what was a poorly designed traffic pattern since TL/PI/Westside was built. Slowly but surely they are getting closer to a good system…

the light redesign at hotel plaza boulevard, the garages, the pedestrian overpasses, the direct from I-4…hopefully a redesign of the west side lot to make it somewhat useful when its done...

Yes. It took a long time, but the situation is finally improving!

Certainly very fast. This was no where near completion back in May.

If this project were being done up here in the Northeast, construction would have taken 4-5 years.

This is a nice addition and will hopefully alleviate traffic on the west end, however with the imminent closing of Disney Quest, its not like there is much reason to go to the west side anymore :(

Now, what we really need is the garage on the Marketplace side so the shops are more easily accessible and you don't have to walk from Hess across the street.

I think the ramp goes between the Typhoon Lagoon Parking lot and the Disney CM building, rather than around Typhoon Lagoon.

Where's it go If you headed straight after the initial right turn off of I4. In the video there were two rights. Does straight take you on the road towards Old Key West??

Eventually you could get to Old Key West, but it first takes you to Epcot Center Drive. Basically, the new road isn't directly off of I4, it's off of the existing ramp from I4.

You can already see the new road on google maps: https://www.google.com/maps/@28.3651527,-81.5236191,16.5z

Thanks for the map. That shows it perfectly. We always took the LBV exit right before that because our first night is always at Hilton on hotel blvd. Will have to use this instead to avoid that 24 minute stoplight at Crossings entrance. :tigger:

That is great. We were last there in early April and DTD traffic was a HOT MESS. This will surely help. Of course we are flying in Nov. so we won't get to experience this first hand.
