No Availability at all for Polynesian studio in Apr/May 2016?!?

Hi there, I'm hoping someone can help me out. I'm checking the Disney site and there doesn't seem to be any availability for a studio during these two months. I've tried different checkin/checkout dates with no success. Is this possible? Or am I doing some thing wrong. We received a PIN code valid for a studio stay from Jan to June 7, 2016. Even when I try to book rack rate, as a test, dates aren't showing up! Is someone able to check?
I know I could call Disney but I'm trying to avoid the long distance charges.

Would someone who is DVC member be able to check if there is availability. I'm not a DVC member so maybe I'm being denied access? TIA!

I'm confused. DVC inventory is completely separate from cash reservations inventory. If you aren't a DVC member, then you won't be booking DVC inventory.

You can't book DVC inventory. You would have to rent from a owner to do that.

Disney may not have much inventory at all for Poly since it's so new. They get it when. DVC owners trade out poly points for something else.

PIN codes are cash inventory, not DVC point inventory. You'll just have to check with Disney directly to find out what is going on. I suspect it's just not loaded into inventory as there is quite a bit of PVB cash inventory even for the end of this month which should have far less than dates in mid 2016.

Only half or less of the DVC rooms have been released for DVC reservations. More will be added as DVD sells additional contracts.

Thank you for this explanation, it makes sense that perhaps the studios haven't been released yet - guess hoping they sell more DVC contracts first.

Thanks to everyone for your replies! I'll just keep checking and hope rooms become available.

About how often does DVC release units into the DVC inventory pool? I know it depends on sales, but trying to get an idea if my mid-January wait-list for PVB has a chance of coming through.

Considering that something like 40% of inventory is released compared to 15% of total points sold (~540,000 sold through August of 4 million points total at a sell rate of about 80k/month means about 600k points sold by end of this month, or, about 15%):

DVC releases inventory to keep pace with sales, my guess is at its current pace, it'll be months before DVC releases more inventory, maybe by Summer '16.

That's another best kept secret. On prior "releases" I have watched availability for several days and didn't notice an increase in bookable inventory.

we just booked DVC poly studio a couple weeks back for first week of may 2016 - there was lots of availability (actually was surprised)

Did you book a cash reservation or are you a DVC owner? I'm not a DVC owner, just looking to try out the resort using a PIN code discount we received.

I put in March dates on the Disneyworld site and there was availability. It's possible they have not yet released April & May. Have you tried the chat feature?

Wouldn't the PIN code be for a standard room at the Poly, not neccessarily a DVC studio?

Since there are cash rooms available with either, Polynesian or Polynesian Villas, the pin code should work for both unless it is excluded. The online Disneyworld site has both but no villa availability for villas past March. The early 2016 room only offer and Play/Stay/Dine just excludes the bungalows.

Since we confirmed OP it talking about searching Disney PVR Deluxe Villa Studio inventory on DisneyWorld.com, not DVC PVB Studios on DisneyVacationClub.com -- just wanted to confirm -- in fact -- DVC PVB Studios are wide open in March-April through DVC Booking Tool -- which is actually odd since normally all resorts sell out at 7 mos in peak March/April and we are 2 mos. inside 7 mos. and it's still available. I would not expect this inventory to still be available at 60 days, which is when Disney can reclaim DVC inventory to rent on DisneyWorld.com. Disney still owns a substantial percentage of PVB inventory, so it's possible they haven't released this inventory on DisneyWorld.com or it's also possible it's sold out.

Yes, I tried the chat twice, and both people had no idea why there showed no availability.

The PIN code we got is good for Polynesian Villas & Bungalows -Studios only. It is not valid for the villas or bungalows.
