Hi, I have a, not too large, crossbody Vera Bradley Disney bag. It's been to the parks with me 3 or 4 times now and I feel as if it should be washed.
Does anyone have any experience washing their Vera Bradley bags? Can this be done? I love the bag, its so perfect to bring to the parks and I wouldn't want to ruin it.

Anyone?

Thanks in advance,

Karen

I havent washed mine but they are indeed washable (the fabric ones of course). I would use a color catcher though to make sure the pattern doesn't bleed.

If you google the Vera Bradley website, there are care instructions on each of the fabric bag pages.

I always wash mine inside of a pillow case and they do really well. If it has a removable bottom make sure you remove it. I speak with first hand knowledge.

Yes, have washed them numerous times. Take out any cardboard thingies and make sure there's nothing in any pockets, and you're good to go!

I have washed my bags several times. I always turn them inside out first, wash them with a gentle detergent and let them air dry. The bags always look like new after I wash them. The first time I washed one I didn't take the cardboard out...I never even thought to take it out. I learned my lesson!

I've washed my Disney Vera Bradley crossbody bag as well as my other Vera Bradley bags with no problems. As long as they're fabric, they're meant to be washed. As other posters said, don't forget to take out the cardboard if your bag has one!

Another Vera Bradley washer here! I've washed several of mine and they turn out great. Remove the cardboard and turn inside out. I've never had a problem with the colors bleeding.

Thanks to everyone. Mine is fairly small crossbody so no cardboard. I'll wash it tomorrow but one more question. Do you put it on the gentle cycle?

Thanks (again) so much.

The last time I washed mine, I did a regular cycle with cold water. It turned out fine.

I agree/have done as the others have posted. After it has dried I spray with scotchguard or similar product to help protect it. Rustoleum has a new spray product that is suppose to basically waterproof/resist. I may try it on my travel vera bags. Would be great for backpacks too

Yes. I wash mine, and hang to dry.

Well, Vera Bradley is dead, so I'm not sure she's concerned about being washed. But I imagine when she was alive that she washed herself.

I wash my Vera bags on gentle cycle and hang it to dry...I love the fact that they can be washed.

I've washed plenty of Vera Bags. I also use a lingerie bag and gentle cycle with air dry. I have washed several right side out because there was something stained on the outside that I specifically wanted to get out, including makeup residue off of my daughter's makeup bag. They come out fine, no color bleeding of any pattern.
