As I said, you can see a girls arm in almost every single picture. While it's neat to say that you watched Wishes from Main Street U.S.A., I don't think that we'll be doing that again. Or at least not just standing in the middle of the street. I'll either be booking the Wishes Fireworks Dessert Party, a Fastpass for a viewing area or stake out a better spot.

A lot of people scattered or left after Wishes but we stayed put and moved around just a bit to find a spot to watch the parade. I love love love the Walt Disney World parades! I don't know if I was just tired or wasn't paying attention or what but my pictures were mostly blurry.

Lucky you guys to have such nice neighbors while you waited for Wishes!

You really are too hard on yourself, those Wishes pictures are quite good! You can see the girls arms but you can also see the fireworks really nicely!

I love meeting nice "neighbors"! It always makes the time pass so much easier.

I too work at a law firm and know all of the stress you're under far too well! :sad2:

Hey, Wishes is still Wishes even if people's arms are in the photos. Makes me want to go back to Disney!

Sorry for the craziness at your office lately. I can definitely relate!

We watched wishes on Main Street last time and it was ok definitely crowded but it's a good view. I'd take the arm over a parent with the kid on the shoulders or an iPad blocking the view.

I love it when I run into a kind person to bide the time with. Seems like that's a rarity these days.

Thanks! I found more that are coming up!

It sure does! I like having great neighbors.

You poor thing! I wanna be something else when I grow up.

Ture dat!

I know that you can. I can't seem to catch a break lately.

Oh that's so true! Guess that I should have been thankful for no kiddos on the shoulders.

Can I get a do-over? Why, yes, yes you can!

So while looking through the last set of pictures, I realized that I had another "last set of pictures". A set that has much better pictures which means that they were probably taken by a taller person than I....Hunter. Can I get a do-over? Why, yes, yes you can! Annnnnnd, you get to see the castle show that I, apparently, took no pictures of but Hunter did.

Great pictures! Nothing better then parades and fireworks!!!
I did the FP for wishes.. Very excited to see it

So, I am guessing that I've lost a lot of readers since no one hardly ever comments any more. I'm hoping that at least some of you will join me when I finally start my new trip report. If I can ever get in touch with the other parties to get their permission, I'll know what I can and can't post. Lacey and Jesse are making a super fast trip to Tennessee for a wedding this weekend and I'm going to get her to ask whether or not I can put pictures of Jesse's family in the report. As you may recall, they were with us for the last half of the trip. I could always just talk about them but not include their pictures which wouldn't be that hard to do. But, I'd like to include them in my introductions. Hopefully, I'll know something on Monday.

In the meantime, I've partially opened my Etsy site! I say partially because I only have about two dozen items listed and I have over 100 items for sale and a ton more that are in the works. If you have the time, I'd love for you to check out my merchandise: ShopMickeystoontown.

I'm off to get the last couple of sets of pictures organized so that I can wrap this baby up!

It's slinky! It's slinky! Everyone loves a slinky!

After the parade, we sat for a while letting the crowds pass us by. We always do that...let the crowds flow and then trickle out. But, we all three knew that we weren't just letting the people go ahead and fill the buses. We were savoring those last few minutes in the park. Then, it was time. Time to bid the Magic Kingdom goodbye for the last time this trip. We were fortunate to have almost four whole days at the Magic Kingdom and we enjoyed every single second of it! But, as I said, it was time. Goodbye my dear sweet Magic Kingdom, I'll see you next year!

When we got to the bus stop, there were just a few people in line. We were picked up by the slinky bus which I still think are the coolest things ever. We were seated near the middle and were able to watch the bus expand when we made a turn.

We were back at Caribbean Beach in no time and this little guy (or gal) was waiting on the sidewalk for us. At first glance, it looks like a rat but it was a really small rabbit.

DSCF8232 (1024x768).jpg

We wanted to hit the road fairly early the next day so I had the guys pull out what they were going to wear on the ride home and then we packed as much as we could. To keep from rushing in the morning, we took most of our things to the car and put it either in the trunk or in the luggage carrier on top. A bus or two would drop off guests and they would be either giggling or extremely quiet. We figured that those who were giggling still had much of their trip ahead of them and those that were quiet were like us and ending their vacations. Okay, so maybe they were just pooped as all get out but in my head it made me feel better to think that they were sad to be leaving too.

We fell into bed with visions of...nope...not sugar plums but 800+ miles of road that we would travel the next day (or, rather, that same day since it was now in the wee hours of the morning).

I'm going to sugar coat the next part of this report. Departure days suck! Big time suck! Big big time suck! BIG BIG BIG time suck! Starting the drive to Disney is THE best day ever and driving home is THE worst. We tossed the last bit of stuff into the car and we were off to the real world again. Man what I wouldn't give for "real soon" to be a month or so instead of almost a full year.

DSCF8233 (1024x768).jpg

We made the turn onto Hwy. 192 (W. Irlo Bronson) and were on our way back home.

DSCF8234 (1024x768).jpg

Goodbye palm trees!

DSCF8235 (1024x768).jpg

There's a place called, I believe, Wildwood, that's been in construction for over a year and, while we had passed it on the way, we were really too excited to actually pay attention to how much had been completed. On the way home, we saw that a lot had been done and they had a really neat set of sculptures out front. Too bad the picture is blurry and we didn't get the whole thing in the frame.

DSCF8236 (1024x768).jpg

John and Hunter konked out right after passing Wildwood and I was left to take in really boring scenery like this:

DSCF8238 (1024x768).jpg

We stopped along the way to take potty breaks, eat, and get gas but that's about it. Unlike our drive to Walt Disney World, our trip home is done all in one day. The closer we got to home, the more we saw the crops growing alongside the road.

DSCF8241 (1024x768).jpg

DSCF8240 (1024x768).jpg

More boring drive continued in next post. YES, you have to keep reading and looking. If I have to, you do too.

Continued.

DSCF8254 (1024x768).jpg DSCF8259 (1024x768).jpg

DSCF8261 (1024x768).jpg

And, then it was dark. Too dark to take pictures of more interstate, more crops, more sunsets, more stuff. We rolled in at a pretty decent hour considering that we usually get home way after midnight. I make the drive sound as if it's the pits but we really don't mind road trips. Even with stopping to pee, to eat, to gas up, etc. the drive takes between 14 and 16 hours depending on the traffic. The majority is on major interstates and highways and the few "cut through" routes that we have learned over the years are on good roads. It's just the going home part that makes the journey the pits.

**Up next: Where's all the other crap that we bought?
