Discount tickets for DLR

Hello DIS'ers!

After many trips to WDW, we are wanting to try DLR. We have been there once but it was on a Saturday (only 1 day at DL), and we had no idea how to tour so we pretty much wasted our day in lines. Then we became 'pros' at WDW using the FP- system. NOT a fan of FP+. So, for a variety of reasons we are planning our next Disney trip to be out West.

I have lots of questions but first thing I am looking at is the tickets. I see UT has info on Disney Land but apparently does not sell the tickets??

Who are the reliable sellers? I think I saw arestravel.com. Any others?

Thanks!

We did arestravel.com for our trip in August, and it was perfectly easy. I exchanged our voucher for tickets while the rest of the party got in line for rope drop. We had no problems at all with them.

Way.com has the lowest prices. Look under activities & you will find them. I believe Orbits sometimes has a day free deal. I'm sure others will chime in with their experience with this one.

Thank you all! You have given me some good options to check out.

I was hoping for an Orbitz deal but the current one is only good through Dec 2015. We are going in May 2016. I am trying to decide whether I wait for a 2016 promo or buy sooner to get ahead of any price increase.

I just checked. Way .com is $305. LMT is $279. Not the lowest, by a fair bit.

Also, the Orbitz deal isn't that great. The difference between a 4 day and a 5 day is pretty small.

Arestravel is the only legitimate one that I know of that sells just discounted tickets. Way.com is ok, I don't know what this LMT is.

Last Minute Travel. They are referred to many times on the DIS. Also, I have actual tickets in hand from them--not just a voucher.

I've used aRes before as well. They are legit, but more expensive. I haven't used the others before.

I just checked getawaytoday. $310pp for 5 day park hopper.

From my searching today, LMT does have the best prices. *If* the Orbitz deal is available for 2016, I think it would be better. But that is a big 'if' and also, I'd need ticket prices to still be where they are. Disney has gone off the deep end lately with all this price raising madness. I'm not sure whether to buy now or not.

For anyone unfamiliar with Orbitz current deal, they offer a free day with the purchase of a 3-day PH or 4-day PH. Then you can go through ebates.com for 3.75% cb. When I figured it out, our tickets (including the cb) would be about $40 less than LMT. We are a family of 6, and buying 4-day PH's.

I still don't get your math. I just went to Orbitz---4 day PH with 1 extra day (for a total of 5) is $300. 3.75% CB is $11.25 per ticket. That's still more than $279.

I think discounts on the Disney gift cards might be the best way to get good priced tickets. I know most of the membership discounts have been trimmed.

I see what you are saying but here is how it is breaking down for me:

Adult 4-day PH

LMT - $274.72
aRes - $285
way.com - $290
Orbitz - $261.25 (can buy 3-day with1 free day) Cost is $275 with $13.75 back from topcashback.com (5% cb on activities) OR $264.69 with 3.75% cb from ebates

Unless I am missing something somewhere, Orbitz seems the better deal for me. However, again, I am not going until 2016 and the Orbitz promo is not currently extended into 2016.

This is what I typically do for WDW. I was just hoping there might be a different option for DLR.

Ok! FINALLY I get it!! I thought you were saying it was like $40ish PER TICKET cheaper!

Also I was looking at 5 days rather than 4.

Sorry for the confusion, and I hope you end up finding a great deal!

At least you are an expert at what discounters are out there now, and where to watch!
Good luck.

Scott

Thank you, Scott. Yes, it is nice to know all our options for DLR. I am well-versed on WDW but a complete noob for DLR.

I think in your case, needing the 5-day, LMT does seem to be the best price.

It better be...since that's what I bought!!

We are WDW versed too--30 min from my front door to Mickey's!

7th time to DL. Love it every time.
