I was wondering if normal destination wedding invites go out 3 to 4 months prior to the wedding. When should I send out my disney invitations. Wedding is in October so popular time and a Saturday. I want my guest to be able to book reservations? Signing contact in 15 days but want to get a jump on as many details.

Thanks!!

I think we sent ours out about six months before, but our invitations were a formality. Our guest list was small and we knew that everyone was coming before we sent out the invites. We didn't even include return envelopes or RSVP cards. We also didn't send out save the date cards, so we wanted to make sure that people got the formal invitation a little earlier.

I sent out save the dates as soon as we were officially engaged and sent our invites out about 6 months out with our RSVPs due two months out. Since we live in Canada I wanted our friends to have as much notice as humanly possible. In the end only our families ended up attending and we were happy about that.

Thanks! Yeah we have a guest list of 150 people. I want them to be able to book dining, especially since it's food and wine festival. I knew 3 months out would probably not work. Thanks for the advice!!!

We sent save the dates with a link to our wedding website about ten months out. That way people had information about dates for booking. We sent our official invitations 10 weeks out.

We sent save the dates as soon as we got our date 11 months out and we sent out our wedding website 10 months out with all of our room block info and park ticket information so our guests can make arrangements we have a rough estimate on how many people will be coming. We are 8 months out now and Im about to order our invitations once we have all of our wedding weekend activities nailed down ( rehearsal dinner, dessert party, maybe a following day brunch) and we are planning on sending them out at 6 months out to give our guests enough time to respond.

We sent out save the dates with the information on hotel reservations at the beginning of December for our 10/10/15 wedding. We did magnets so I just made a small page with basically the save the date info Disney sends on card stock, and put that in the envelope with the save the date. Then sent out invitations in July, so about 3 months out, and asked for RSVP's back about 40 days before. At that point we knew pretty much everyone who was coming because they had already booked their resort reservations.

We also emailed out an information sheet with dining recommendations, F&W info, Bibbidi Bobbidi, and MNSSHP info. I'm not sure how many people paid attention to it, but those who did really benefited from the info.
