October 2015 PTR: a “Halloweenie” and her Fearless Companion conquer their first HHN!

They're only hiring if they opt to fire me first :rotfl2:. Or, if I happen to win the Florida Powerball this Saturday night (40 million!!). Dust off your resume just in case....I'm feelin' lucky ;) .

Grilled cheese and a plastic wallet? Well, that's just hard to beat!!! :rotfl: (but considering our chit chat in this thread over the last few days, a cheese sandwich for you does seem ironically, and amusingly, appropriate :teeth: )
Since that $40 million is USD...don't forget your friends pick me.jpg

Since you mention it the cheese sandwich is ironic.....probably my cosmic punishment. I'm so happy to know just how much I'm appreciated. Let's be honest, that's a whole new level of appreciation....to be topped by no one. Do you need my wallet for that $300?

You can bet your boots if we win the $40 Mil that you're third person I'm calling (first is Jake, second is Mom). I'll be ringing to let you know that there's a Jetblue ticket waiting for you at the Buffalo airport, and I'll have the drinks poured and waiting for you at the Tacky Tiki Bar:

With both of us there with that kind of a celebration, its safe to say that the Vistana would never be the same!! :rotfl:

Your offer to share your wallet is so darn sweet, but I couldn't, WOULDN'T take such a valuable momento from you. It just wouldn't be right.

(And its probably covered with sticky grilled cheese finger prints anyway ;) )

We're continuing to knock items off the to-do list before we leave.

Hair cuts were successfully completed yesterday (bye bye greys!), and Steve cut the lawn. Today's he's taking down the gazebo and putting away the patio furniture, as well as giving the Journey a good cleaning inside and out. I got the balance of our US money from the bank this morning, and thank the lord I'm on my last half day at the office. I'm going to give Jake a laundry refresher course later tonight (after the Jays game, of course) and finish what teeny tiny bit is left to do on the packing.

I picked up a last minute Groupon (I know, I know....I said I wasn't adding anything more to the itinerary, but I couldn't help myself!!) for mini golf and gator feeding at Congo River. With a 20% discount code and the balance of my Groupon Bucks applied to the price, we got the golf and gator feeding for two for a whopping $1.97  . I couldn't pass it up.

So far, the Orlando weather is looking pretty decent....at least for the first half of the week (the latter half also doesn't look too bad, but its still too far off to really be accurate so I'm trying to take it with a grain of salt). Looks nice and hot...mid 80's.....so swimming weather for sure.

Our Ontario weather, on the other hand, is looking wet and cool for tomorrow. Our planned stop at the Falls might be nixed as a result....we'll wait and see. We hope to leave by 11-ish (basically as soon as the housecleaning and laundry are both done) and take my mom out for lunch before hitting the highway. We're stopping at Steve's sister and BIL's in Stoney Creek for a visit en route, since we don't get up that way very often.

Our colds don't seem to be any better, nor any worse. Just the teeniest of tickles in our throats and some random sneezy moments. Perhaps all we need is some sunshine and warmth to get us back on track. Or a hug from a minion :teeth: .

I'll be the one wearing this when I get off the plane gina.jpg

When did we take that picture together....I must have been really drunk because I don't remember it at all? Remember this one.....

HaHa Dancin!

Yep, saw that golfing groupon and thought how much fun you had doing it before. Great price. I just used that 20 percent to surprise my kids with a segway tour when we're in SD later this year. Since the minimum age is 14, we're golden. One of the few times, it pays to have older kids. LOL
Also picked up a restaurant not far from our hotel, so discount eating one meal out there so far.

Us too, weather people told us last night, wet commute on the way home tomorrow, with thunder storms to arrive as well. Oh joy, thunderstorms in October!

I hope the weather holds out for you in NF. Not fun to walk around there in the rain.

I'm packing a suit. Swimming weather for me is anything above 60. Well, it was 62 when we first went to Aquadica during our Christmas stay. Let's just say I spent alot of time in Roa Rapids, which was like bath water warm.

Just think, you'll be officially on vacation shortly! Lucky duck!

I think I just found my new job.....fortune cookie author. How does this sound?

"Better to send the kid home than to have barf on your shoes"
This comes from a text conversation I just had with my DD. Words of wisdom right? Could that earn me a $300 bonus?

Any rain that we get will just make us that much more appreciative of the Florida sun :sunny: . That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!

And you're not far behind me! Woot! :woohoo:

Oh no, which DD is ready to barf? I hope you've got some Gravol in the medicine cabinet!!

And as far as your question goes, I think with your personality you'd do better as a fortune teller, rather than a cookie author. Sharp tongue and quick wit and all that. Actually, the more I think about it, the more fitting that seems!!

I went to high school in Stoney Creek. My and my DH's family are all in Hamilton.

Just wanted to wish you a FANTASTIC trip! Looking forward to reading all about it. Especially your HHN and MNSSHP experiences. I'm sure it will be SPOOKTACULAR!

Safe travels :)

Very cool on the Stoney Creek connection! "It's a Small World After All" :teeth: . My BIL is the pastor at one of the local churches.

Thanks for all the good wishes.....I will try to get lots and lots of photos to share. Assuming I don't die of fright at HHN, of course :scared: .

So excited to find your ptr, your reports are my absolute favorite! Hope you have a great trip.
