Confirmation letter at checkin

I was just wondering if anyone ever had an issue with checking in without a confirmation letter? Not sure if you even get them for DVC? I rented points for our trip and our renter never sent me any kind of confirmation, but it does show on our MDE, so I know the reservation is there. Was just hoping for some reassurance that we will be okay.

I've never needed to show anything other than my photo id when checking in at the front desk. They've never asked for my confirmation number.

Before our stay in May, we received a confirmation letter. A friend who is a DVC member booked our stay but we got the confirmation letter.

Great! Thank you. I was hoping that would be the case. I know it is with regular check ins, but this is our first time doing a DVC check in.

chip- I figured there was likely to be a confirmation letter, but did you need it to check in or did you just give your name and ID?

I don't know if I've ever gotten a physical confirmation letter in the mail, either the hotel side or DVC, in the past few years. I have gotten the Incredibles booklet that they send out, that may have the number on it I don't know. As long as you can see it in the app and the reservation number is there, that would be all that you would need if there was a problem with them looking up the name or something.

If the reservation is viewable online, that should be enough to verify the reservation. I wouldn't worry.

Another question....
I know the DVC owner has to schedule your Magical Express prior to your stay. Lucky for us, we are staying one night in a standard room, so we scheduled the to DME without issue. But I have not been able to reach my renter to schedule my return trip. Do you think once we get there and are checked in, they will let us schedule it ourselves? If not we will just pay for a taxi, but I would prefer not to have to do that.

You can try to make the return reservation at the DME desk when you get to MCO.

We used to receive confirmation letters, but haven't received one in a few years. I always brought it with me when I had one. Now, I just make sure that I have my reservation number with me - just in case. Never had a problem with it.

I made a Poly reservation for May today online, I got an email confirmation about 45 min later.

I am a member since 2009. I used to get a confirmation letter, but that stopped a few years ago. Now I just get an email confirmation.
