Besides Disneyland, WDW, Universal, etc..where else do you vacation?

Thanks for all the suggestions. We are native Californians (NorCal) so anything in California other than Disneyland is kind of been there, done that.

We are now located in the Houston area, so I looked at cruises, various lines, departing from Galveston and couldn't find anything that only sailed during the week of Spring Break for us.

Niagara Falls,Washington DC,Puerto Rico, Wyoming,Utah,California,Nevada,Maine,Florida(non parks) Virginia,Maryland,Missouri,Kansas,Canada....Anywhere there is a National Park....

One of the best domestic, non-Disney vacations I've taken was a visit to Arizona. We visited Phoenix, Sedona, and the Grand Canyon before driving to Las Vegas for several days. Sedona is gorgeous, and the Grand Canyon is definitely worth seeing. We went in March and the weather was very pleasant.

Hawaii is stunning, but can be expensive.

In the last few years, we've done Disney Cruise, Turks and Caicos Islands, Hilton Head, Las Vegas area (we don't gamble, but love hiking and the desert) and Mexico. We're going to Hawaii in December (Honolulu and the big island), doing a trip out west next June, and then Iceland is our big trip after that. My kids are 6, 8, and 9 and LOVE to travel.

Branson, MO
Wisconsin Dells,
Black Hills south Dakota
Yellowstone National Park
Going to Grand Canyon in 2016

Here are some vacations in the last few years in the US:
-driven along the Gulf Coast of Florida, stopping at various attractions and beaches along the way.
-Santa Fe and Albuquerque area of New Mexico
-LA/San Diego/Santa Barbara
-San Jose/Monterey/Carmel
-Savannah and Charleston
-New Orleans

Sorry to try to steal the show, but I saw a few people said Toronto. What is fun, entertaining, vacation-worthy about Toronto? I've always thought about trying to get my BF to do a trip there instead of just our regular trip to Detroit to visit family and shop.

We took our 4 year old and 9 year old to NYC earlier this year and they loved it. So much to do there for all ages.

San Antonio
Eureka Springs and the Ozarks
Washington DC
San Diego

I'm eyeing Europe. That'll come later.

Looks like me try to drive to WDW/Universal and then our way back spend a few days on the beach in Destin, FL.

I think the only time I've traveled on Spring Break was a trip to Colorado to visit Sis & BIL. Did go skiing one day, and spent 2 others hiking in Ricky Mountain National Park. Weather was surprisingly good, but I'd probably be aiming further South that time of year were I to do it again.

Maybe Big Bend NP, maybe Arizona.

Cape Cod (although it might be cold at that time of year....who am I kidding it will be freezing)
Mexico - I know a lot of people say all inclusive, but I say don't do it. Merida, Tulum, Akumal are winners in my book.
Southern Utah (Bryce, Zion, Arches, Moab)
Seattle/Portland/Vancouver

You are really close to New Orleans - which is so much more than Bourbon Street. Also Lafayette is even closer. Just the other side of New Orleans you have the Mississippi and Alabama Gulf Coast areas. I love Mobile. Bellingrath Gardens just outside of Mobile is amazing.

You are even closer to San Antonio and Austin.

Vegas
Laughlin (this is in Nevada on the Colorado River. Basically a gambling area that is built there and is full of snowbirds and people who are brought in by charter flights)
Allen Tx (short getaways to shop at the outlets and stores that are not common at home)

These are places I go to and have been multiple times.

Last few years I've been to Chicago, Atlanta, New Orleans, Anahiem (technically Disney), a few places in Texas like Houston, Ft Worth, and Dallas, Seattle and Alaska.
