~*~*~*~*The Official DECEMBER 2015 Thread*~*~*~*~

I was able to get evening times when I booked mine (Oct 1)
Okay, so I guess those times are all booked up then. I got one for 4:30-5:30 which isn't ideal for us since it's arrival day and not sure what time we'll get to DHS. But I guess I can always modify when we get there.

I couldn't get A&E. Tried splitting us up and tried every day we will be there. Boo!!!

Sorry. I'm still trying too several times a day and splitting us up. So far no luck. We will only be there Friday, Saturday and Sunday so I'm thinking it will be hard but I will keep trying.

Good luck to everyone.

I hope you manage to get it! We will be there on a Monday-Thursday, still no luck. I'm hoping the Sunday MVMCP if we stay late enough we can see them with a relatively small wait.

Yay!!! I got A&E this morning at 6:30. I tried while my daughter was singing Do You Want to Build a Snowman in the background for luck and it worked. Of course I could only get it for me and my daughter but I will keep trying for my husband.

I hope you get it also! Just keep trying.

HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP!

I have officially hit the panic stage when it comes to finalizing what park we are going to on what day. If ANYONE here has some advice, I would welcome any guidance you can give. We are DL vets and having to plan so many details is driving me batty!

We are going December 9-16 with 6 day tickets. Park days are December 10-15th, no hoppers. We want to hit MK twice and DH is really interested in hitting AK twice. I'm not 100% sure that we will want a second full day at AK, so I have penciled that in for our last day so we can always change plans and go to a different park that day. I have some ADRs booked but I'm okay with changing those if needed.

Here is the itinerary so far, please critique it!

Dec. 10 - MK - FP+ Space, BTMRR, PP maybe?
Dec. 11 - AK - FP+ EE, Dinosaur, Safari? - ADR for Sanaa @ 6:55
Dec. 12 - Epcot - FP+ TT, Mission:Space, Soarin' (maybe? we have been on the DL one a number of times so possibly a different 3rd FP+?)
Dec. 13 - MK - FP+ Space, plus 2 others? ADR for Plaza @ 12:55 and BOG @ 5:50
Dec. 14 - HS - FP+ RnR, ToT, Star Tours - ADR for Sci-Fi @ 12:40 and for California Grill @ 7:20. If DS can stay awake, we will watch Wishes from the lounge or observation deck.
Dec. 15 - AK - FP+??? ADR for Yak & Yeti @ 1:00

We want to see a bunch of the shows but I am not sure if we need to make FP+ for these:
MK: PhilharMagic, Laugh Floor, Stich's Great Escape
AK: FotLK, Finding Nemo
HS: Indiana Jones Stunt, Lights, Motors, Action!

Thanks for any help you can give!

We like using easywdw to help plan what days are best to go to what park. Your choices look good but might want to check the site out. Click December on the right hand side of the page when you get there.

Out of the shows you listed I would FP -

MK - Laugh Floor
AK - FOTLK
HS - Indiana Jone Stunt Show

You cannot FP both Soarin' and Test Track. I'd do TT if you've done Soarin at DL.

No need for a FP for any of those shoes, but they can be nice "filler" FPs. Do the AK shows if anything.

And I agree that you will likely not want/need 2 days at AK. I definitely recommend using a FP on the safari unless you plan to hit it right at rope drop.

Here is my itinerary so far. My friend is picking up my military ticket today and she will do our fast passes this afternoon. Not really concerned with that since this trip is all about Christmas and it is last minute.

Monday 11/30/2015- Arrive 9 am should make HS about 12pm, reservation at Primetime @ 2:40 Osborne lights that night
Tues 12/1/2015- Epcot Christmas around the world Biergarten 2:15, Candelight processional 6:45. EMH that night.9:30p-11:09
Wed 12/2/2015-Ak EMH 8a-9a, only a couple hour park for me so depending on FP no later than noon. Hit resorts to look at Christmas decorations. right now have lunch at 2:40 at Whispering canyon (may change) night time EMH at MK
Thur 12/3/2015- we're letting FP decide what we do in the morning. MVMCP at night
Friday 12/4/2015- Disney springs then airport about 7pm to fly back to STL the home of the by then World championship St. Louis Cardinals.

This is a whole different kind of trip for me. Not planning every detail should be interesting. Know it's late getting fast passes with the new system but I've never really used them anyway and like I said this is all about Christmas for me.

Tuesday night was my FP+ day and I managed to get everything we wanted, when we wanted them! So excited!! Last trip the only 3 rides we didn't get to ride were Soarin', TSMM, and Peter Pan. Lines were just too long, but this time we got FP+ for all of them! I can't wait!! Also did online check-in. Now I have nothing to do but wait, and it's killing me. Only 56 days left! And still waiting for my CP narrator to be announced...

So here's my sad saga regarding FP+ and tickets....

Our window opened Tuesday night for FP+ and guess what...oh yeah we still don't have tickets. We live on a military post and they are out of tickets. Possibly get some in middle of November
so I'm on the road this week and stop at 1, 2, 3 different kinds of military installations and you know what? They are ALL out of tickets as well. So here I am trying to "let it go" but this over hyper drive that WDW has installed in us is screaming I MUST MUST have these FP+ or my trip is ruined. I'm so done with the whole thing.

We are going and we may not have a damn FP by then and I'm not caring. I'm going to drink my happy butt around EPCOT, eat my special made cake and take my picture with Minnie and call it a successful trip.

How's that for a Merry Christmas, Happy Anniversary Mickey Mouse attitude :)

Don't worry. We are waiting to buy our new annual passes until we get there. We have done this before and didn't have a problem getting all our FPs we wanted. Once we have our tickets I sit for a couple minutes usually during lunch or while family rides a ride and secure our FPs for the week. Just be flexible with your ride times and keep checking if you like to change them.

FWIW, I make my fp's at midnight 60 days out every single time, and guess what? We change fp's day before/day of constantly. I really don't know why I bother.

You will have a great time! :woohoo:

Just got all my FP's booked! I have to say, the fact that we are going to MK our arrival day (we're getting there pretty early, so we'll have a while in the park before the party!) really helped take the stress off. I couldn't get SDMT for our first MK day, but got it for our second. And I wasn't really planning on A&E, but it was open so I snagged it! None of the other days were a problem at all-got everything I wanted when I wanted it :D

I will try to make some fast passes on Wednesday night, but I'm not gonna stress over it too much. We have some early morning ADR's to hit before MK opens, so we should get to ride SDMT without a FP. Not interested in meeting A&E, so that helps. We are trying to keep this trip relaxed & just kind of going with the flow. We're going more for being in the park around Christmas than for rides/characters.

Hope that doesn't end up biting me in the bum! :goodvibes

FP day is Saturday..... hoping they update the park hours by then ( we are there Dec 16-24th) I'm also waiting on the TBD narrators for CP because that could impact when we are at Epcot.......the things we do.....

I'll join the thread. We'll be there Dec 17 - 24. DVC members doing 2 nights at SSR, then 3 at BCV, and then one at the Poly. All are on points. To be honest, we booked the rooms a few months ago and then life happened. The beginning of the fall semester is a crazy time for us. Our daughter is a special needs / honors program sophomore at a large university. My dh and I teach at a smaller college (and he's a department chair). I literally did zero planning until this week and this is our first trip in 18 months (although probably our 30th or so overall).

I'm scrambling a little bit. Most everything is booked but I was able to get the Illuminations Dessert Party for one night and a sleigh ride for another. I'm also booking a few ADR's - mostly to get us out the the crowds. FP+ was also just starting on our last trip (and I liked it) so I do plan to book those at the 60 day mark in a few days. We usually hit the early entry park first (we are very early risers) and then make our way to another park so I think we'll probably stick with that strategy.

Thanks for starting this thread. Hoping I can learn some things!

December 10-14! Port Orleans FrenchQuarter. Taking my in-laws for their first trip. 2nd trip for my kiddos and husband. 4th trip for me.
