My husband and I are starting to make a 1-2 year plan to move to FL. My dream job is to be a guide with DVC but I don't have any idea what you need to qualify for this job or how to start looking into it. Does anyone know how to get started pursuing this new career?

A Florida Real Estate license is required but I would get to know someone working there first. What we see on stage is much different than what goes on back stage. DVD is all about sales with quotas, pressure and several guides that we knew have left.

Living near the Mouse I have known a LOT of DVC guides over the years. Things are different than they used to be and from what I hear the working conditions are not nearly so warm & fuzzy as they were in the beginning. No doubt you would need a good deal of proven sales experience and success as there are usually a LOT of applicants for any open positions. A couple of guides I have known had to apply over and over for years before finally getting the position. They are not still with DVC..
