Are we allowed to make requests? I would LOVE a pic of the approach to the MK from the boat if anybody feels like indulging me. 51 days til I'm there, sigh.

Loving these reports! We will be at the Fort late Saturday night. But will be in a cabin, rather than a campsite (no camper, DD26 will NOT tent camp..she's spoiled).

No, I was too busy trying to not be smothered by the tent on top of me- just minutes after that photo was taken, Frog decided to crawl under the floor of the tent. I took a few poles down to loosen up the floor, and while trying to get the frog out from underneath, the tent gave way and partially collapsed on top of me. It's a 12 x 12' tent. I'm glad no one was around taking pictures of that fiasco!

Hey nabi, can you or anyone else tell me if the construction is finished in the circle in front of the castle? as in no more roped off/hidden areas?

Well- it's been an amazing day so far! Our tour was wonderful, and I enjoyed every second of it! We had a wonderful tour guide named Claudia- I filled out a card for her at the City Hall so someone will hopefully recognize her for how wonderful she was! We are just getting ready to head out to the contemporary for the Pirates cruise, so I don't have too much time to post pictures, but I'll try to post a few....

The changes in front of the castle are great- think of the new layouts as little garden areas with artificial turf. These fenced areas are in rings outside the circle made by the street, and serve dual purpose- meets with characters happen in the areas, the little fenced/ turfed areas serve as formerly roped areas for reserved areas, and the walk-ways that are around the gardens serve as paths to get out during crowded show times. The engineer in me was observing foot traffic flow in the new layout with each encounter of the area- during the day, during a ticketed event, and during a fireworks show. The new lay out definitely helps traffic flow and opens up the area for various fenced off groups.
The spoke and wheel also served to be an impass to anyone without a ticket for the MNSSHP- people were unable to view the show without passing CMs stationed at each bridge coming into the area. I would have loved to see ariel pictures before and after the mod. I was also impressed with the construction tents to the sides of the castle (one cannot walk under the castle right now)- they are designed to blend right in with the castle. I took pictures but haven't taken them from the camera yet.
Disney desperately needs to elevate their stages- kids on shoulders is out of control.
ruthies12- the softy in me could not leave that frog under there, potentially getting squished, even if it meant burial by tent for me.

Thank you for the pictures!! Happy Birthday Serenitygr!! We took the tour Keys to the Kindgom few yrs back. Our tour guide "Bob" & he was great - was Disney 1000%. We arrive Jan 3rd.

I didn't forget about you, here is a couple of our set up from this year, site 1643

The only way we could make everything work was to have the ez-up over the awning of the tent, which, if it rains would be better anyway. We bought the white table at the end of the picnic table for our camp stove and a place for me to do the dishes. When we pack up the table folds in half to make it easier to get into the Rav.

Garneska, we ended up walking around and just kinda looking around. I do remember seeing it and thinking that it looks pretty cool. Will definitly take a better look in the next few days and get back to you.

Up at the pool now, DW is enjoying the hot tub, the oldest is checking out the arcade, and the little one is wearing her self out on the waterslide.

Weather has been exceptional the past few days. Has not rained at all. Haven't done any looping yet will be getting on that with in the next day or so. I did notice a site that looked familiar when we were here last year.
