Inspired by Stacey in another thread here on the DIS, a simple Yes/No Poll:

" If you are a WDW AP holder, do you intend to renew your APs despite the price increase. Yes/No."

I'm a yes, but I'm only buying 1 and my daughter pays her own way in this area. if I had to buy more than 1, i'm not sure my answer would be yes. I know my daughter would love a non-parking/photopass version as she doesn't need these features. she is undecided as we just purchased our passes before this upgrade so she is paying attention to how much she is really there and which way is lower cost.

The price increase is going to impact how much money I spend when there. As the gate goes up, my in park spending goes down. If they want more money from me, discounting the ticket would have been better.

There isn't an "I'm not sure now..." option.

Our plan for next year was to visit _at least_ twice, possibly three or four. When we do this we get an AP, and we split between using our DVC points and cash rooms.

Now with this change, the TIW change, and the fact that it sounds like Star Wars Weekends at least for next year is dead, I'm seriously taking a step back and very likely cutting way back on the plan. I will likely now restrict it to what I can do on points, so a significant loss in what I would have paid CRO, and it would likely also mean that we'll live within a regular MYW ticket, so another loss there, and of course the lack of all the extra dining, etc. we would have done this year.

Any excess we would have paid now can go towards more days at Universal instead.

No, No, No!! Our passes are good through Feb. '16 and we have another trip planned during that month - then, that's it for the foreseeable future. Have other vacation destinations planned that will not cost near what we spend at Disney.

If we ever have a trip where we are staying more than 10 nights continuously and plan a return in less than 12 months yes.

At the moment no as our next trip doesn't work with 10 or more park days and we can't return soon but I wouldn't rule the out

My AP expired in May of this year and I decided not to renew at that time. I was struggling with whether or not I was going to buy an AP next year, but the price increase made the decision for me; $800 is prohibitively expensive for me. I think I'm going to buy an Universal AP instead. I really love it there and it's more in my price range. If I want to do Disney, I'll buy maybe a 3 or 4 day ticket.

Yes, but I'm probably downgrading to the Silver pass. I don't usually go during the holidays and don't care about photo pass.

I also might take a few months off between passes.

I wish there was a choice that says maybe. I gave up my pass about a year ago. Dropped it and went over to Universal.

My sister still has her Disney AP if she decides to renew her pass I will get an after 4 Epcot pass. If not I will not get an after 4 pass and continue to go to Just Universal. I already renewed my Universal AP and Have been pretty happy with it.

The reason I'm waiting to see what she will do is that she is the only family member who goes anymore. The rest have decided that Disney is too expensive.

Yes, I will renew. Might consider Gold though.
We only have Premium now because DVC offered it for a good deal. We really do not use the water parks, golf or ESPN.

We will definitely continue to renew Tables in Wonderland!

Interesting that we are currently (10/7 at 10 am) running 2 to 1 in favor of continuing to buy an AP.

I'm not sure yet. My AP is good through August 2016 . I don-know what our vacations will look like that far down the road. I currently have trips planned in April and June of 2016. Beyond that, we may switch to once a year trips.

I thought they did away with the After 4 Epcot pass when they made these changes.

From what I have seen, the Epcot after 4 pass is still available to FL residents for $249.

We will get an AP as we had planned, but we are getting Gold DVC.

Yes, I will renew. For now Florida resident passes have not reached the same level as their California counterpart. I know I would not pay $1,049 for a 365-day, 2 park pass. OT, but I will not renew my TIW card after it expires. We'll do less TS restaurants and only dine at those that offer AP or DVC discounts.

I just renewed and won't have to officially decide for another year but for now I will say yes. For me, the current changes would actually save me money. I am DVC so I can get the Gold. I would never travel during the blackout dates anyway. I usually buy Memory Maker for one trip per year so adding that in means less out of pocket for me and I'll have the bonus of using it on the 2nd trip.

My TIW will expire just after my trip next month - I have to do some math and look at my reservations for the trip after that, but I'm pretty sure I won't renew that. While it was nice to have, it'll now be harder to break even on that.

I am admittedly in the camp that will pretty much continue to go to Disney no matter how high the price goes. Disney is our happiest place, and it's hard to imagine a scenario where that would change. I travel to WDW twice a year, but can usually get 3 trips out of an AP every other year by moving the week of travel up by 1 week. Before buying DVC and getting the discounts on APs, I rarely bought an AP - it was cheaper to buy two 5 or 6 day base tickets and make that work, so if the price went up dramatically or the DVC discounts go away, I will not be heartbroken. It may change the ticket I buy but it won't change the way I travel.

We will renew, we were planning on droping down to the Platinum with Disney Quest closing. None of the blackout dates work for us and we go enough to make it worth it.

Nope. Looking at our recent family trips with the kids, they have all been Easter week or the week after Christmas because that's when the whole family can go. The blackout dates don't work for us, so we will probably go back to alternating trips between Disney and other destinations.
