Prioritizing tickets in MDE

My DS has 5 days left on a NE PH that he will use for our upcoming trip. I need to purchase an additional 1 day ticket to cover our 6 days. I was planning to buy a MK ticket since I assume it will hit on our first or last day of our stay; I assume the orginal ticket would use its days consecutively. But we might park hop on one of those days. I thought I have read in the past about a way to prioritize your tickets in MDE so that any tickets are used in a specific order? I know our first day we will not be arriving until afternoon and will spend the rest of our day there, so that would be the best day for this singlevticket to be used.

TIA! :goodvibes

I wouldn't trust MDE to get it right. I would enter the park with the physical ticket you want to use that day.

Buy the lower priced park ticket and physically tap it at the tapstile for AK, DHS, or Epcot. There's no reason to buy a MK single-day ticket when the 5-day PH will cover MK park entrances.

OP, not sure when you are coming, but if you know you are coming for a late afternoon, does it happen to be on a party night, and are you ok with the party? It might be cheaper to come in at 4 and stay through the party instead of buying a single day ticket.

Also, the @hiroMYhero post, it's not a bad idea as long as you don't use it for MK and you don't plan to hop wherever you are. Otherwise, a 1 day hopper costs the same whether it's MK or not. If you decide to go that route, (buying a Non MK tix) definitely make sure at the ticket window that you are using the right ticket that day for that park. Otherwise, you will be pulling a hopper to enter MK and you may not plan to hop. And then the Non MK may pull when you enter DHS, and you are stuck there all day if it is not a PH.
Just fyi. I hope that makes sense. lol

So I can enter it in MDE for FP+ purposes, but still tap the physical ticket? Will need to see if UT can give me a physical ticket, heard they were issuing etickets

Yes, tapping the ticket ensures that only its entitlement is used and not your parkhopper.

We aren't going until January, so no parties. We just have to hit MK when we arrive since Space Mountain will be closed for the rest of our stay.

Use your parkhopper on MK days and on days when you plan to hop.

But your single-day ticket (AK, DHS, Epcot) through Disney and have it mailed to you. It's the same price as UT.

No. Once you enter the ticket into MDE, the card will work the same as a magic band; a link to your account, not a link to a specific ticket. For the above advice to work, you'd either want a new MDE account or to forego FP+ for that one day.

Also, don't bother with UT. One day tickets are more expensive at UT than they are from Disney directly.

When people talk about prioritizing tickets, they are having a CM do it at Guest Relations/Services (never sure which is which).

I called a couple nights ago and had Disney prioritize our 7 day passes for our 7 day October trip. We still have 1 day left on a pass from last December that we will use for a shorter December trip we are also taking.
