Cancelling prepaid photopassplus voucher?

Hi guys, not sure if anyone is in the same situation that I'm in.

Does anyone know if it's possible to cancel a prepurchased PPP? I've prepurchased PPP (and memory maker for WDW) in anticipation of our big family trip this month. My intention was to go to WDW with a premium annual pass, then upgrade it to a premier pass before leaving Orlando.

My dilemma now is that I'll have to pay extra to upgrade to a premier pass as they've raised the prices, and the benefits regarding photo downloads, I'll already have paid for in advance! It would be good if I could cancel or get refunds on the memory maker and photopassplus that I will now not need, to partially offset the extra cost of upgrading to the new premier pass.

Do I have any chance, or are they just flat out non-refundable? I've sent off an email to Disney, but who knows when/if I'll get a reply. We leave from Sydney in a week.

All you can do is try and point out that when you purchased it, the benefits of the passes didn't include PhotoPass downloads, but since they now do, you no longer need the PhotoPass.

The best you can do is try, but word on the wdw board that I saw yesterday was that they weren't refunding MM. Their phone CMs are notoriously inconsistent so maybe you'll get one that says yes?

Disappointing if so. It's not really a change of mind, it's a change of conditions. I prepaid the MM and PPP on the assumption that the APs would cost a certain amount and that I would require additional photo services.

I'll give them a call later and try...

When I called yesterday to ask about PP+ and DVC discount, I was told that I could take my PP+ voucher to the ticket booth and *maybe* they would apply the price of my PP+ to my purchase of a signature AP. Gotta love that *maybe*--it makes me want to stand in line for sure. I would love to hear if anyone gets a refund or tries the ticket booth.

Please report back.... i JUST pre-purchased the PPP on Thursday, and planned to buy AP's on our trip next month. With the addition of the PP+ to the Signature I'll be getting that AP for myself (and DH & DD the Deluxe) IF I can get them to refund my PP+ that I already bought. I haven't had time to call myself.

I made a lot of calls today. Sat in a lot of hold queues. Got transferred endlessly. But I eventually got it sorted out.

Here's what you want to do.

Memory Maker (Walt Disney World): Call WDW Ticketing on 407 566 4985 Opt 5. The CM was able to refund back to my credit card. Ensure that you point out that you want the refund because of the new annual pass benefits. She did mention that it is normally non-refundable but as a once off deal because of the new passes, they would refund it - a company line I'm sure.

PhotoPassPlus (Disneyland): Call PhotoPass on 407 560 4300 Opt 3. They might want you to send back the CD package that is sent out, but upon hearing that I'm travelling from Australia, picking up the CD package in Orlando, and then travelling to Anaheim to go to Disneyland, the CM told me not to bother sending it back and simply processed the refund.

A good result, despite the ~$15 in international call fees. It was the principle of the thing in the end.

Good luck everyone.

Well that's good! I'm going to do a chat today to see what they say/do.
