Single Day Itinerary Help

Hi All,

Thanks for all the helpful intel from my previous thread.

My wife and I will be in DLP on Monday, and are just trying to figure out what the game plan for the day will be. The long and short of our situation is we're going to cover both parks in one day. We're two young adults who are mobile and don't mind a long day of walking.
Here's what I'm thinking based on the feedback I've received. Assume we're there for rope drop. Our preferences leans heavily to thrill rides, but we both love some of the traditional themed rides from DL like Pirates, Mansion, and Pan (to a lesser extent).

Start in WDS:

  1. Crush
  2. Pick up FP for ToT
  3. RNR
  4. RC Racer
  5. Ratatouille
  6. Use FP for ToT

Is there anything else I should do? Does this order make any sense? I'm not at all familiar with the layout or popularity. Is there more opportunity to use FP?

From there we'd pop over to DLP, where I'm thinking:

  1. Pick up BTM FP
  2. Phantom Manor
  3. Peter Pan
  4. Pick up Indy FP
  5. Ride BTM w/ FP
  6. Pirates
  7. Pick up Space Mountain FP
  8. Star Tours or Buzz (no real preference?)
  9. Ride BTM w/ FP
  10. Ride SM w/ FP (if timing works)

At Closing: Disney Dreams

Not mentioned; Check out the castle during one of our treks across the park, when the timing makes the most sense to cash in a FP, or collect a FP to a ride. Also, is it like DL where you can return after the expiration of your fastpass, or are the time zones strictly adhered to? Also, food (probably just counter service to maximize ride times).

My main question is which DLP rides are best to do without the FP? Or, more accurately, which will have the less crazy lines? I've really just guessed in my scheme above.

Is this whole thing completely crazy? Am I ridiculously off-base?

My experience is that Peter Pan is more popular than Indy. Indy is tucked away back in Adventureland and is an ordinary (but still good) rollercoaster. Remember to use the Single Rider line in Ratatouille. It's new and very popular. All in all it seems that you will have an excellent day.

I would go so far as to say, if you need to miss anything let it be Indy. It is an underwhelming roller coaster and not worth a substantial wait or a long period of time on a fast pass. Much better to prioritise Space Mountain FPs once you've used your BTM ones. I would jump on Indy if there's a queue of less than 30 mins.
Since you're there on a Monday crowds should be low and I think you've got a good chance of getting everything done that you want.
As Jansr says, using single rider for Ratatouille will be essential and you may also want to use it for RC Racer depending on wait times. If you've got use of a data plan while you're in France I'd highly recommend using the Disneyland Paris app and using it to keep an eye on live wait times whilst in the park.
Have a great time!

Hey I'd line up for BTM and fast pass Peter Pan and also line up for ToT (queuing area is rad) and fastpass ratatouille (as it'll have the biggest queue)!
Star tours won't have as big a queue as Buzz. I'd actually fastpass Buzz over Indy as I've never seen a queue longer than 15 mins for it. I wouldn't skip it though as I love it.
In other news, we'll be in the park the same day as you (dlp until 2 then Studios to close and back to DLP) so I'll race you for those fastpasses!
Monday's are quiet so you shouldn't struggle.

My favorite spot is in front of the castle behind the VIP spot, but you have to be there almost an hour before. When you have claimed your spot, some one in your party can go fetch some refreshments.

I hope you have an amazing time. I have never been to DLP but am going next year and find your post helpful as we are only doing 1 day for both parks as well. Its Disney no matter what, I think you will have a great time.
