"Official" Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2015 Thread - Rockin' Around the Cinderella Castle!

My DH, DD, and I will be going to the party on Nov. 13. I'm super excited. We also get to skip the 8 hour drive and will fly down - my DD's first flight and mine in a lllooonnng time. This whole trip will also be a surprise to my DD. I am pumped!!

I've read on the "official" MNSSHP thread that they are offering a party-only MM this year, but not until tomorrow.

That is great to hear. I've heard about it being offered before but couldn't really find any more info on that, and while we loved MM for our last two trips, we're only going 4 days this trip and weren't sure if it was worth the $170, but then again on NYE alone we took TONS of photos. I have a feeling we will spring for the entire trip as it gets closer but I like knowing we hopefully will have the option to get it for the party as a standalone.

i am so confused. I want to book 2 fp from the 4-5;5-6 range ( we are eating dinner about 6 and traveling with a little one, so really 2 fp during that time is our max). We have regular park day tickets. so do we just book fp as normal, and go in and scan with our normal tickets so that the passes are activated for the fp, and then at 7 have them scan our xmas party tickets?

The party tickets get you into the park at 4, so no need to use a park ticket to get in before 7. And I believe that you get the FPs with the party ticket.

You get Fastpasses with party tickets, I confirmed this yesterday when I booked mine =)

Hi! We are headed to the World with only a MVMCP ticket on 12/3 and a DHS ticket on 12/4 and I was able to make FP+ for both days. It was a bit glitchy at first on my phone, but I was eventually able to schedule 3 at the MK starting with 3:15-4:15 (tight I know, but we will speed walk to it). Try again as it should work. We are staying on property but only purchased the hard ticket and a 1 day pass to DHS and I have 6 FP+ scheduled. Good luck!

Thanks so much for the confirmation that you were able to book FP+! I was able to get it straightened out with help from a Disney IT support person. There was a glitch in my MDE account. I was able to book FP+ for the party the other day! I appreciate you taking the time to post! :flower3:

So I have a "when to book" question. We are going to Disney 12/2-12/6 and are planning on attending MVMCP while there. Initially I was thinking the Friday 12/4 date, but now I'm leaning pretty heavily towards the Thursday 12/3 date. This will make our first day a bit of a marathon (12/3 is our planned EPCOT day with the Candlelight Processional) so we'd be doing MVMCP after a big EPCOT day. I feel like if we go on 12/3 though it may be a little bit better, as it is a weeknight, and it'll free up the rest of our time a little bit. Plus, it's just me and my husband going and I feel like we have the stamina to do it.

Anyway, do you think EPCOT and MVMCP are doable in the same day? And how soon do you think I should by the tickets? I don't want them to sell out but I also get a little gun shy when it comes to actually buying the tickets in case I change my mind again!

What time are you doing CP? If it were me, I wouldn't try to do both in one day. Even doing the early CP show, you will not get to enjoy the "early access" to the party, and if you are doing one of the later CP shows, you are missing party time. There are a limited number of tickets sold to each party, so even if 12/4 sells out, if will still be less crowded than a busy MK day. And FWIW, that Thursday night party had sold out in recent years as well. So you may not get lower crowds, and you'll be killing yourself to get there. I'd do Friday.

I would not do Epcot & MVMCP in the same day...you will be over stressed and not able to enjoy Epcot at its prettiest in the evening. We attended a soldout MNSSHP and were still able to ride the rides, do some character M&G and enjoy the party. We are going to be there at the same time but we always do MK & a party on our first full day at WDW so we are doing 12/3...if I were you I would keep my Epcot day and do the 12/4 MVMCP, I think you would be able to enjoy your day at each park much more.

I agree with the pps and would say to separate your EPCOT/CP and MVMCP days~ honestly, it IS just too much!
Epcot at that time of year/CP is one of my all time favorite Disney activities. For me personally, I love it more than the MVMCP. (Love that too!) You can make a really special day of it, and it is really memorable if you take it all in, slow down and enjoy! I don't think the crowd difference between Thursday and Friday night is enough to make a decision to put it all into one day. You said you want to free up time, but those two activities will be the highlights of your trip worth investing quality time in. (Add Osborne Lights and you have the trifecta of amazingness!) Just my thoughts... :flower3:

Super excited that we are going on 12/08. I booked our tickets a few weeks ago...its our first time to visit during Christmas time!

We are deciding between 12/6 or 12/8. I'm leaning more to 12/6(its a sunday) but I can't decide. It's our 1st(and most likely only) december trip. Any advise? Thanks!

I got hard tickets just because I have this inane fear that if I show up before 7pm and scan my magicband they'll dock me a park day ticket by mistake.

When you order the hard ticket option, do you get your ticket numbers in advance or do you have to wait to they are mailed to you? Will they show up in MDE?

We do have the 5:00 CP. My problem is we have 4 night time things we want to do and only 3 nights to do them. Arriving super late on Wednesday so that night is out for anything. We want to do CP, MVMCP, Osborne Lights, and an 'Ohana dinner reservation. Current plan was 5:00 CP and MVMCP on Thursday, Osborne Lights and possibly the M&B Dessert Party (though we'll probably end up cancelling that) on Friday. Saturday we have a late (after 9:00pm) 'Ohana reservation and leaving that night to go back to whichever park we wanted to see again at night. Unfortunately I don't think we'll get to benefit from the early access with the MVMCP as we bought a 3 day park hopper ticket and really can only do the parks for 3 days.

You all have given me a lot to think about! I don't know what we'll end up doing. I just feel like if make Thursday a crazy long day then I'll be able to relax Friday and Saturday, but if I wait and do MVMCP on Friday I'll be stressed about getting everything else squeezed in on Saturday. Definitely open to other thoughts and recommendations on how to fit my 4 night time activities into 3 nights are welcome!

I'm sorry, I wasn't clear. Sometimes abbreviations get the best of me.

Wednesday 12/2 our flight gets in at 10:55pm. So we hope to be in bed by midnight! Lol.

Thursday 12/3: Epcot, 5:00 Candelight Processional, Current Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party night.

Friday 12/4: Magic Kingdom in the late morning, Hollywood Studios and Osborn Lights in the afternoon and evening.

Saturday 12/5: Animal Kingdom in the morning, optional afternoon and evening park time, 9:00ish 'Ohana reservation

Sunday 12/6: Midday flight home, no parks that day

And I will put it out there that I recognize we may be being a little ambitious/crazy!

EpicRain, everyone's experiences are different, but I'm sure others may agree with me. We've done a holiday trip similar to yours several times (4 resort nights, 3 nights available for parks). PLEASE believe me when I say skip 'Ohana/additional park night and dedicate a separate night for each: Epcot (and Holidays Around the World)/CP, Hollywood Studios/Osborne Lights, Magic Kingdom/MVMCP. We have loved 'Ohana in the past (have gone many times) and it's just not as wonderful as it used to be~ but even at it's best, it still would not trump holiday time activities in each of the parks. Especially since this is the last year for the Osborne Lights. They are all wonderful experiences and you will have a wonderful holiday with that itinerary. It's so hard not to want to try to include everything you want to do, but if you have never done them before, you will have such a wonderful time and never even think twice about missing a dinner. Just my suggestions~
