Just read about the price increases. Does anyone have info on what the prices were? Trying to see how much DVC passes went up.
ETA : New pass includes PhotoPass downloads. I do like that feature.

the florida resident was $519 and looks like it's $649 now if you want no blackout dates

Were there any rumors about price increases? If so, I missed them. But I like the new Gold Pass features so I am sort of glad I didn't know - I may have bought the old passes as a precaution and then been disappointed.

I just renewed my annual pass (non-Florida resident) 2 weeks ago. New pass begins Oct 20th. Will Disney be upgrading passes to platinum?

The format was confusing but I figured most of it out. "Renewal" and "new" make sense, what is a "charter" pass?

Is it me or did the option for a pass that works in both WDW and WDL go away?

ARGH! I seriously JUST bought APs yesterday for a trip that begins on December 17, which is the beginning of the blackout period! Since I bought under the 'old' system, am I OK?

Yes. You got one just in time.

The first I heard of it was last night west coast time on Twitter, but the only solid info I could find was that the coast-to-coast-super-duper-I-can't-remember-the-name AP was going up $400, I didn't find out about anything else until it was said and done by this morning (and by that time last night the wdw ap site was down and apparently the DL ap site went down at some point last night as well).

The premier pass is still available, for the bargain price of $1439 +tax. We will not be buying these, $6k for a family of four is insane for park admission.

Hi,

I got my premier passport for $1139 (inc tax) in September in DL. That is quite an increase and will probably not renew in 2016

So, can anyone explain what the difference is between the Annual Pass PhotoPass and Memory Maker?

Currently, I have a reservation for Oct where I had planned to convert my PH pass to AP after using it the first time. Will I also get credit for Memory Maker that we have as part of this package? And the PH that I have on a December trip that has to be paid in full before I can convert to AP? yikes...my simple reservations just got real complicated!

HI! just spoke to a CM as we are planning a trip in two weeks and were planning to upgrade passes. They mentioned a price increase to TIW. New price is $150. Already purchased PhotoPass / Memory Maker cannot be applied to cost of upgrade. LOTS of Black out days.

People who bought APs when they were first offered and have continued to renew every year since are considered to be "charter" AP holders. There aren't too many of them, but charter AP holders get special rates.

Ugh! That's a 50% increase in the cost of TiW! I just bought mine last week for $100. At least I'm okay for the next 13 months. The CM put the expiration date at the end of November since September was almost over when I made the purchase. I'll have to give it a lot of thought before I buy the next one. It could take more than 2 trips for TiW to be worth it for us..

I think the Weekday Pass is a good deal especially if you lived within reasonable driving distance from Disney or could plan to get two trips out of it over a 12 month period. I would not want to go most dates in the summer during the blackout period as it is too hot for this northern girl. DH and I were just talking about the price of Disney last night. I have been several times and he only one time but we would like to go back and camp in a year or two...can see us doing that with this pricing.

I like the change. I like that now I can get all my photos from each visit without spending $169 per visit. It's totally worth the increase to me.

I agree that it adds value IF you would have purchased MM for each of your visits. And with the recent increase in parking fees, the free parking is also more valuable.
