Flights Booked!! May 2016

Just booked our flights! 4 NonStop tix for under $1000, including baggage! Now I just need our hotel. May 2016 - we're counting down!

JetBlue. We live in VT but flying out of Albany so that we can take advantage of the flight schedule. I love going in May! It was hot this past May but not uncomfortable and the crowds were minimal.

Good to know ! It is our 1st time !! I went once a long time ago and my husband went as a kid. We are going from CT, jet blue for the 4 of us is $1300 with luggage ... I may try to price it from Albany too if it makes sense price wise it is worth the drive !! Thank you

I'd definitely try looking into something else elsewhere. Bradley is way too expensive. JFK/LGA are better to be honest, heck, even EWR in Newark is a better option.

@MrsRyan how much cheaper is Albany's airport than JFK? I always assumed that it was more expensive.

True ! I have been searching all around us too just in case it is a there is a deal... I hope when southwest releases our dates that it will be a better price... I wish I had any idea of what usually costs to be able to compare if it is a good deal or not !

Agreed! Completely agree. Makes it hard to look for reasonable prices. Our trip isn't until September, but we were looking at historic airfare of the past month and it seems low when we leave. My BF is leaving from NYC and I'm leaving from DC on our trip (this should be fun), so the difference in price isn't too stark. However, if I were to leave from LYH (Lynchburg, VA), I'd be paying $500-odd! No way! I'd rather take the 3.5 car ride to DC and take a cheaper flight. Must be out of their darn minds!

When do you ladies (+ gentlemen) book your flights on average? We don't want to book them too early, but we certainly don't want to book them the week before either. Trying to figure out that good 180-60 day sweet spot.

Congrats! I'm looking at going on a solo trip in May for my birthday! I'm waiting for SW to open up their flights for May. I have a $60 credit from this past trip so I'd like to use that. I have no idea when in May yet, but it all depends on flights. I'm really excited about my first solo trip. DH is burnt out on Disney right now. :sad2:

I read that SW is opening up flights through like first week of June on Oct 27th, so not too much longer. We are headed down Memorial Day so I am anxious to see rates and flight times.

We are going in May too. Booked air on Jetblue, Newark to Orlando on the first day the schedule was released. $1000 for 4. Had first pick of seat location and flight times. I like getting it done early and not have to think about it.

Got it !!! Tickets for the 4 of us leaving Bradley ( believe me or not) for $844 !!!!!!!!! I am sooooooo happy !!!!!!! Southwest so bags are included !

DH & I are taking our 4 yr old DGD to Disney in May! Well, we actually fly out on April 29, staying through May 6. Just booked our flights on Southwest! We LOVE SW! Got direct flights too!

And I booked POFQ! Can't wait to see their new kiddie pool! I know my DGD will love it!

We get to start booking our ADRs tomorrow!

Try SW out of PVD as well.

ADRs went great! I got everything I wanted, and at the times I wanted!!! I did everything online - logged on around 9:30 am or so (CST) and had lots of restaurants and times to choose from! I even made some later in the day, and still had the restaurants and times available that I wanted!!! Even Ohana for dinner! Although I didn't book BOG, I did see it available for breakfast (I didn't check for lunch or dinner).

We live in VT too and are also flying JetBlue out of Albany for our trip in Feb! We love the 4:30 departure, and we got our 5 tickets for under $1000 as well! Congratulations!
