Our second cruise was such a great experience and we knew immediately the difference: CUSTOMER SERVICE. Dan and I are not Palo/Remy - we're shorts and tee people. I love TS but don't come at me with that crumber indicating that I'm a messy eater. We're not adventure/scavenger hunter vacationers. The CM's were so welcoming and 'there' - no searching needed.

We entered the experience with high hopes and trepidation. My goal was to not go to sleep hungry or thirsty. I did purchase 2 bottles of wine from Italy, Epcot. Dan just wanted to prove to me that we aren't cruisers. Upon arrival on the ship we were directed to Cabanas - I can't even describe the fab food, which made me wish for the old days when I could really rip into a buffet. CM's were everywhere cleaning up tables, encouraging us to relax and stay at the table. CM's were posted at every entrance to answer questions and give direction. This service didn't exist on our first cruise.

We sat for a drink at the Cabanas bar and a CM heard us talking so he volunteered all sorts of info regarding the room, off shore experiences and set us up with room beverages. Twice more we experienced CM's who actually went in search of beverages to satisfy my request rather than asking me to chose from the available. Again an improvement over our previous cruise.

We lost track of time and were half hour late for our first TS. We went fully expecting them to tell us to wait for the later seating. A wait staff saw us hovering at the door, pointed us to another staff who immediately approached us to ask if we knew our table. She lead us off and directed us to our seats. Our head server welcomed us and handed us menus as another filled the water glasses. The servers didn't make one joke about our late entry and our fellow table mates appreciated that we didn't delay their courses with our quick order selections. The next night we were on time and still the last people at the table . I was the only person who ordered wine with dinner and not one comment was made to call attention. The server did ask me if I enjoyed the selection - which I did, best wine of the trip.

We dis-embarked at Nassau this trip to visit Atlantis and the tour of the resort. I can't say that I enjoyed the people at the fences selling water and articles out of garbage bags. The people were very welcoming and nice which made the weather Nassau experienced this past week very 'personal'.

Castaway Cay was a lovely experience. We selected a lounger arrangement by the eating area and bar - slathered up with block and put a chair in the sands, our back to the sun and our feet in the water for a few hours. We enjoyed a beverage, or two, and the picnic food followed by an post meal snooze at the lounger. When even the water couldn't combat the heat that became intense and the beach was as crowded at NJ, we went back to the ship. We stopped at the sports bar to enjoy a beverage and stop sweating. While we enjoyed the sports bar this trip we were only there this once versus the entire trip. Our last cruise the sports bar was the only place we were comfortable. It was a great day and since we were stuffed we didn't bother with the TS that night. We did go post-dinner when they were setting up the late dinner to give our tip envelopes to the wait staff. We spent the evening enjoying the sunset over the water from the highest point of the ship. I went down to the QS for a shared meal and Dan arranged for beverage service to our seating area. QS on this cruise remained open from 11AM to 10PM with Fresh Food - another improvement. It was a wonderful last evening.

This cruise was a win win. Dan meant some great CM's that he enjoying talking. We went to two TS and the food was really tasty along wonderful service. The servers made us feel welcome - they were easy without being patronizing and nobody approached the table with a crumber. Our fellow table mates were very nice - all from our home area, around our age and on our 'dress' level - which made the dinners much more comfortable. Dan endured one of the shows for me. We watched all 3 movies on demand - altho my kids needed to explain some of them to me post-cruise. We spent less $$ this trip, dis-embarked at both stops, bought cruise pictures, the DVC member booth gave us freebie beverage holders and we actually approached the cruise desk to reserve however the cruise we wanted was not available.
