how to get around the two boys not wanting to share a bed!

Why not ask the " Boys " what they would like ?

Would they like to visit other places rather than " full Disney " ?

They might like less Theme Parks which would save money but would be used to pay for more rooms.

Ask Them

Your most realistic options are 2 rooms requesting connecting rooms at a moderate, one bed villa at OKW or taking an air bed for one of them to sleep on the floor.

The bar at OKW is far from grotty - yes it's not a lounge it's a bar but it's a great place to hang out of an evening. It's super friendly and the bar tenders make great drinks. :drinking1

We liked the Bar at OKW too. We also loved Olivias.

Here are my thoughts
1- I think the pull downs are manageable and don't hit the budget at all.
2- Bonnet Creek is nice we stayed in a 3 BR, IMO definitely need a car and of course no EMH's
3- While renting DVC can be an option there can be some pitfalls, i.e. no cancellation and money upfront (you are not renting from Disney but from DVC members)
4- Swan and Dolphin Hotels which are on Property may be option with a roll away bed. Hotels have access to Disney transportation and EMH's (Just no free airport transfer or charging to your room in Parks etc.)
5- DTD Hotels Hilton has EMH's, others do not. The Double Tree has some rooms with 2 DBL's and a sofa.
6- may not fit budget but some Deluxe hotels will accommodate.
7- It is my understanding that Value resorts have rollaways (first come first served).

One other option if you will have a car, stop at walmart on way to Disney and pick up air mattress.

At the risk of being repetitive but due to a previous post. The pull down at POR is definitely not doable for grown boys. Absolutely definitely not. I would hate you to waste your money thinking it would be big enough.

We spent 2 weeks at AKL in August and had bunk beds. Ours are a lot younger than yours though but they definitely slep better in their own beds. I believe AKL and WL have some bunk bed rooms

They do but they are not full size bunk beds. My 14 year old was too long for them

Are your sons paying for their share of the trip or are you?

If you're paying, you can't afford two rooms and you'd be okay with sharing a room between four then I'd tell them to suck it up or fund the second room themselves...! Ultimately if the only way you can get to WDW is to share a room then they'll just have to accept that.

(I do understand the not wanting to bed share or have four in a room thing though)
